365 - A Temporal Distortion?
🕑 Added 2025-01-27 09:55:29 +0000 UTCHELLO BROS. Today I want to talk to you about a supernatural phenomenon that just happened to me. To keep it short: another week flew by without me even noticing. I could swear I just wrote the previous empty Monday Post only a couple of days ago. What the hell is going on, bros? T_T
NEW REFERENCE MATERIAL. Since I hate to make this another empty post let's talk about at least something. Here is a picture of a couple of W.I.T.C.H. books I have purchased. Don't get alarmed, I am not working on a Hornelia Trainer or anything like that, I got these purely for the research purposes. To be honest I am surprised you are still allowed to by these freely, considering that the company that used to produce them is long dead and what we know as Disney now is a completely different creature.
THE GOOD OLD DAYS. These books sure come from a different time, back when Disney artists were still allowed to draw attractive looking cartoons. I plan to study these books meticulously and steal some ideas for my own works.
CREATIVE WRITING. I also have purchased a book on creative writing in hopes of leveling up my writing skills a bit, but to be honest, I have barely had the time to even open it yet. -_-
THE SHOP. Also I added a new item to the shop: an old comic commission. Go check it out if you have nothing better to do.
QUEEN TRAINER 1.05. I have quietly updated WIN, MAC and LINUX versions of the game here in the shop and on my itch.io page. ANDROID version will be up in a few days. The newer version contains quite a few bugfixes. Hopefully this will be the last update in a while.
THE WORK. I have nothing to report on the work front. I mean I do have a few details I could share, but I feel like I would be doing it only because I personally feel the need to justify another empty post, like I want to prove that I am actually working and not staring at the wall all day. But this need to prove something comes from my own insecurities, I know that majority of you trust me by now to do my thing as usual, so I will keep quiet a bit longer I think.
THAT IS ALL. Thank you for your support, and I will see you all next Monday.

Hornelia seems to become people's favorite so there is a big chance she will be back one way or another XD

Yeah, time is just a concept that I don’t understand in the slightest. And Hornets Trainer would be amazing, or more of her anywhere really XD Hope you will enjoy W.I.T.C.H. If it’s even half as good as my kid self remembers it to be, it should be at least a bit fun.
AKAMAN
Thanks Trevor. Yes, I must continue what Disney have started XD
AKAMAN
You guys tend to latch on to some random side characters. It happened with Iris, a little bit with Ashelin, now all I hear is Hornelia. Oh well, I am not against the idea or anything. You have good taste XD
AKAMAN
I don't know what are you talking about. The purpose of all my researches is always purely academical. I produce educational games after all.
AKAMAN
I used to read only a little bit of it when I was a kid. It was a girly comic after all. But looking at it now I really appreciate the character design and overall esthetic. Plan to adopt some stylistic solutions for my own needs :)
AKAMAN
Yup, that's usually how it goes. Unfortunately. T_T
AKAMAN
Yeah, she seem to have gotten surprisingly popular. Maybe I need to add her to SC34 or something XD
Destiny Calls
I played Princess Trainer Gold first (beaten the game at least a few times at this point.) At a certain point I think it's just a skill issue on my part. Anyway congrats on making peak yet again! I'm just glad I was here from day 1 this time, even if I'm just now commenting.
AKAMAN
Thanks. Good thing too, since there is a big chance I won't be actually able to find the time to read that damn book XD
AKAMAN
In Princess Trainer GOLD people getting stuck on that achievement was not my intent. In Queen Trainer however I did this on purpose knowing that the OG fans will beat it easily while for the newcomers this will be rite of passage :)
Destiny Calls
When I saw "Visit the Bull many times in one day" I may have went a bit overboard thinking it was going to be more than 10. So, uh... I ended up with 158 by the time I realized the achievement wasn't going to appear until the day was over.

Always thought your writing was already pretty damn creative.

I stopped reading at "Hornelia Trainer" I demand one, "right here, right now" ^^ =p

"They either die out while doing the right thing, or succeed long enough to become evil." - adapted from The Dark Knight Disney, Blizzard, Microsoft, and that's just naming some of the 'nice' ones “On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.” - Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club

Witch was a realy good cartoon plot characters and story was awesome
DeadMan
"I got these purely for the research purposes" I don't think I we want to know what kind of one handed research. But A trainer game, I wouldn't complain.
MUPLUR
Thank you for the book recommendation, Laughing Sensei
John Hall
I would totally go for a Hornelia Trainer. :)

Always good to keep building your skills! ..... man I miss when Disney didn't suck. Well, I have plenty of family friendly entertainment right here, I'm good! Keep up the awesome!
AKAMAN
Yeah, that thing your Grandpa told you is 100% how I feel lately. And yes, big companies usually get big by providing good service in the beginning. -_-

My Granpa told me that as I got old life became long days and short weeks, and is kinda true, yes many times I forget why some corpos become giants, and it's because they did a good job in the past, like disney.
