240 - It Is What It Is.
🕑 Added 2022-09-05 12:00:08 +0000 UTCHello bros. Another short update. Sorry, I had a bit of a busy week. Will have some exiting stuff to show off next week though. Stay tuned ^^
The Games. Finished Valkyria Chronicles 1 yesterday. What a fun game ^_^ The ending felt a bit rushed, but after-the-credits scene made it all worth it! Can't wait to dive into VC2 on my hacked PSVita.
Trust Nobody! Yesterday I read a review of the game where the author starts with how VC2 was well received in Japan, but then rages on about how awful the game actually is. But, as it often happens with game journalists written articles, everything he hated about the game I just know I am going to love :) That being said, I keep hearing that VC2 is hated by some, but I trust my Japanese bros, and from what I have seen so far of the game I think I will probably enjoy VC2 even more then I did the first game. (And I did enjoy it a lot :)
Nope. Oh, and VC2 has no language selection option, and I try to avoid English dubs if I can help it, so I will be playing UNDUB version of the rom. So happy ^_^ If I could I would just play Japanese version, but my weabo level is not high enough for that just yet.
The Work. I am done with Esmeralda's storyline. Writing, drawing, coding, all is finished. Very happy about that. Iris is next. Thankfully her story was among the first ones I worked on (so it's already in the game), now all I need to do is just a few short events and the wedding event to wrap things up. It will still take some work though.
The life. Oh, and finally some IRL news. The August thing has been resolved in my favor. We've made it, bros (!!!). It will still take some time to finalize everything, but official decision had been made in my favor and I can relax now. I should be OK for now. If you were one of the patrons who raised their pledge when I asked, feel free to lower it back to your comfortable level. Don't get me wrong, I still need the money, but it's not a life or death situation anymore. Thank you everyone. I love you all. I hope to finally explain everything properly in a month or so, but for now I will just keep on working. ^^

Actually I don't mind the small maps and shorter battles. I played VC1 on my switch and every battle took way longer then it felt necessary. With VC2 it's BAM! BAM! 5 minutes, now back to the VN ^^ Also I have VC4 on my Switch. Bought it 3 years ago or so. I plan to get into it after I am done with all the previous games, so it will be a while XD
AKAMAN
I know, right? ^^
AKAMAN
Heh. Yeah, thanks :)
AKAMAN
Thank you! ^^
AKAMAN
Thanks ^_^ Yes, let's not jinx it now.
AKAMAN
Thank you Henrik. I appreciate it!! ^^

I just try to ignore all the modern pop culture these days. Makes me way happier. ^^

I see no reason why not do it right now? The hacking process is super easy and you get to play games that has been long takes off PSN and also UNDUB verions of some games and fan translations of some Japan-only games. Also you can play both VITA and PSP games one one console. Very handy ^^
AKAMAN
I know. Don't worry, whenever I forget to make a break my body reminds me with a neck pain ^^
AKAMAN
Let's if you will be able to get right the one I will share in the next Monday Post. I am curious.

VC 2 and 3 are very handheld in their limitations but solid. When you get around to VC 4 you are in for a TREAT :D

Why all your fans are naked? Also yey for August resolvement (not a word) ^^
NakedAlice
I love hearing all this news. Regarding your work, I'm glad you finally finished the Esmeralda storyline.
Naked_SoNUshka
Oh, well then, I congratulate you on the fact that The August thing was resolved safely for you, but I hope you will soon tell the whole essence of this story!
Iggy
Great news about your August thing! And QT! Looks like you're on a roll.. :)
Henrik
Love back at yah! Happy to hear that things are good again. My pledge stays where it is. Nothing quite like Akabur out there. Stay healthy, stay creative and so looking forward to your creations, bro!

Glad to hear things are starting to smooth out for you! I hope life takes it easy on you for a while! Also, I've noticed game journalists got on the 'women can't be sexy, that's not feminist enough!' train really early, despite the fact hey, some women are flirty by nature, just like some guys. I learned to filter out the false rage early on.

Sounds like you're progressing well. I may do the whole hacked vita thing day. I find quite enjoyable playing games on that system.

Glad things are going well, but it seems like your on a grindy stretch. Don't work too hard. Breaks are a necessary evil sometimes. Take care bro.
