The door to the room flew open hard enough to take a hinge with it.
"SEC-PRINNY!"
It was Etna, tail swishing, eyes blazing, and boot firmly ready to kick.
"WHERE WERE YOU WHEN A THIEF BROKE INTO MY GOLD VAULT?!"
"W-Wha—?! Dood! I swear I was watching!"
(He absolutely was not.)
"You let Artina, the so-called Angel of Avarice, sneak in, swipe fifty pounds of gold, and walk out WHILE WAVING TO A CAMERA!"
"…D-Doesn’t that just mean the cameras are working?"
The boot struck.
SecPrinny bounced off three walls, a ceiling, and somehow hit a floor drain that wasn't even near him. He somehow also… didn't explode. Lucky him, I guess?
Etna huffed. "One more screw-up, and I’m turning your liver into a training dummy. Got it?"
"Y-Yessir, dood..."
With that, she stormed off, leaving SecPrinny in a crater of shame and scattered sardine wrappers.
Naturally, like any good employee in the face of near-fatal job trauma, he immediately opened a complaint thread on the NetherNet.
Post Title:
“Supervisor is Being Mean Because I Missed ONE Holy Robber, Dood. Pls Send Support.”
Scroll scroll. Downvotes. Mockery. One user recommending yoga. But then... something caught his eye.
[NEW MOD for NetherGacha Chronicles!]
“Transform your rolls with the Nagisa Assistant System! Now includes voice support, class boosters, and Evility Hearts!”
"Huh. Sounds legit."
(It did not.)
Click. Download. Install.
His phone flickered, glitched, then glowed a soft pink-orange as a bubbly voice chimed in:
"Hello there, random Prinny from the netherworld~! I'm Nagisa! Your super helpful, slightly cursed gacha assistant!"
A tiny 3D avatar popped up. She was dark-skinned, orange-haired, blue-eyed, and way too peppy for someone probably born from corrupted code and eldritch whims.
SecPrinny blinked. "Uh… Hi?"
Nagisa giggled. "I'll be helping you maximize your rolls, boost your stats, and maybe rewrite reality a teensy bit! Ready to dive into a world of Class Boosts and Evility Hearts?"
"...I mean, yeah, dood. If it gets me swimsuit Laharl-chan faster."
"Yay~! Let’s begin!"
With that, the screen sparkled, the music shifted, and new UI elements popped up… Some of which definitely not in the original game.
SecPrinny had no idea what he had just signed up for. But whatever it was... it was probably way more interesting than watching security cams.
