Part 1 – “Operation Extra Power Salad”
Tohru was humming as she chopped vegetables with terrifying precision, her tail wagging ever so slightly. Breakfast was coming together perfectly: Miso soup with just the right amount of seaweed, grilled salmon, rice, and of course, a very special addition she had definitely not spent all night obsessing over.
She glanced over her shoulder at the woman still half-asleep, slouched over the kitchen table in a wrinkled T-shirt and pajama pants. Kobayashi yawned like a tired cat, rubbing her eyes and blinking at the plate that was being set in front of her.
“...You’re in a good mood,” she muttered, picking up her chopsticks. “That usually means either something exploded… or it’s going to.”
Tohru grinned. “Nothing exploded! I’m just excited for you to try today’s breakfast~”
Kobayashi eyed the extra bowl suspiciously. It was colorful, leafy, and almost glowing. “What’s this?”
“A power salad,” Tohru declared, puffing her chest proudly. “It’s full of vitamins, minerals, and um… essence of strength!”
Kobayashi raised an eyebrow but dug in without question. “You didn’t put a dragontail in this again, right?”
“No no no! I learned my lesson and I am a good girl now! Trust me” Tohru waved her hands defensively, laughing nervously.
But her smile froze slightly as she remembered why she had gone through the trouble of preparing the special salad. It had all started the night before, when she’d overheard a conversation she definitely, absolutely, 100% wasn’t eavesdropping on.
Last Night
Kobayashi stood in the hallway, talking to Elma, who had apparently dropped by for dinner and never left. Again.
“Seriously though,” Kobayashi had muttered, rubbing her shoulder. “I don’t get how all of you dragons ended up so... built. Even the ones who don’t work out are stacked like anime characters.”
Tohru, peeking from the other room with a pot of tea, froze.
Kobayashi continued without noticing. “Meanwhile, I look like a rejected background extra from a tax software commercial.”
Elma tilted her head. “But you’re fine as you are. You’re functional.”
“Gee, thanks,” Kobayashi deadpanned.
Tohru clutched the teapot so hard it cracked.
She thinks she’s not attractive?!
Now
Tohru wiped a pretend tear from the corner of her eye as she watched Kobayashi eat, her expression neutral, maybe even slightly impressed.
“This is... not bad,” Kobayashi admitted. “Kind of tangy.”
“It’s supposed to be tangy!” Tohru leaned forward, eyes gleaming. “It’s made from a very rare plant from my world called… uh… ‘Curvaceous Cabbage!’ It’s full of nutrients!”
Kobayashi paused. “That name sounds incredibly fake.”
Tohru sweat a little. “Well, maybe it’s a nickname…”
But her inner monologue was already screaming in excitement: It’s working! The cabbage is in her system! Soon her body will begin the glorious transformation! Soon she’ll be overflowing with confidence… and curves!
She sat down across from Kobayashi and rested her chin on her hands, watching intently like a kid waiting for a flower to bloom.
Kobayashi narrowed her eyes. “...Why are you staring at me like that?”
“No reason! I just love watching you eat!”
“Creepy.”
Kobayashi went back to her meal. She felt the tiniest burble in her stomach and rubbed her side, then shrugged it off. Probably just gas.
Tohru didn’t blink once the entire time. She was ready. She was focused. She was a woman on a mission.
Operation Extra Power Salad: Commence.
Part 2 – “Day One: A Little Off the Top (and Bottom?)”
Kobayashi woke up with an odd feeling.
It wasn’t pain, exactly. More like, a shift. Like someone had subtly adjusted the balance of her body while she slept. Her center of gravity felt just a little off. She sat up, groggy, and her pajama top felt tighter than usual across the chest.
“Huh,” she muttered, tugging at it. The fabric strained for a moment, then gave a faint pop as one of the buttons slipped open on its own. “Did I—put this in the dryer on high?”
She stood, stretched, and frowned at the pull in her pants. Her pajama bottoms, normally loose and comfy, clung to her hips like cling wrap. She glanced down.
"...Did Tohru shrink the laundry again?"
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Tohru was bouncing in place with far more enthusiasm than someone making rice should legally be allowed to have.
She’ll notice it any minute now, she thought gleefully, stirring the miso soup with far too much flourish. The cabbage worked! I can feel it! No, wait, I can practically see it from here!
Kobayashi shuffled in, scratching her head and yawning.
Tohru whipped around. “Good morning, Miss Kobayashi~! You look... extra radiant today!”
Kobayashi gave her a suspicious side-eye. “You’re being weird again.”
“Nonsense!” Tohru placed the tray in front of her with a flourish. “Breakfast is served, with today’s extra power salad~!”
Kobayashi looked down at the suspiciously glowing greens and sighed. “You really want me to eat this every day now, don’t you?”
“It’s full of important nutrients!” Tohru beamed. “You’ll be bursting with energy! Or something!”
Kobayashi blinked slowly. “...Or something?”
Tohru’s tail flicked anxiously behind her, but she didn’t break eye contact.
Despite her misgivings, Kobayashi started eating. She had to admit, it was good. Tangy, crunchy, a little addictive. Still, she couldn’t shake the odd feeling. Her chest definitely felt heavier. Her back ached a little too, though that might’ve just been sleeping weird.
She stood up after breakfast and grunted as she adjusted her blouse. The buttons resisted. One in particular looked ready to give up on life entirely.
"That’s new," she muttered. “I must’ve gained a couple pounds. Great. Desk job strikes again.”
Later That Morning – At the Office
Kobayashi slid into her desk chair and immediately sat up straighter than usual. The chair’s curve seemed to catch her differently, more contact in areas that didn’t used to make contact.
She reached under the desk, subtly adjusting her skirt. It felt tighter, especially around the hips. Maybe she really had been sitting too much lately.
Then she noticed something else.
Todoroki, from three desks over, was staring. Not subtly.
She stared back until he looked away, then glanced down, and realized her blouse had popped open at the top. Not all the way, but just enough for her to instinctively yank her coat shut and mutter a very long, tired “...dammit.”
To make things worse, the break room microwave was at eye level now. Since when? She had to bend her knees slightly to make coffee. Not by much. Maybe an inch.
But she definitely noticed.
“Okay, weird,” she mumbled. “Maybe the floor’s uneven. Or I’m shrinking everything in the dryer. Again.”
Back Home – That Evening
Tohru was trying very hard not to scream with joy.
Kobayashi walked in from work, dropped her bag, and flopped onto the couch with a grunt.
“Long day?” Tohru asked, practically vibrating with anticipation.
“I got hit on by three coworkers and broke a chair.”
Tohru covered her mouth to muffle her squeal.
“...And you’re being weird again,” Kobayashi added, glaring without lifting her head. “What did you put in that salad?”
“Nothing! W-Why would you bring up the salad…?” Tohru said innocently, placing another helping of the cabbage-laced greens on the table. “It's just for health! For vitality! For enhanced confidence!”
Kobayashi gave it a side glance. “Aha.”
She didn’t eat it right away. But eventually, she did.
Tohru watched her like a proud mad scientist.
Later That Night
Tohru sat in her room with a small, leather-bound journal covered in stickers and hearts. She flipped it open and grabbed a pen, her cheeks glowing pink with excitement.
She scribbled:
“Operation Extra Power Salad – Day One: Kobayashi has begun showing early signs of curvature! Blouse popped. Skirt tight. Taller??? SUCCESS!! 💖💖💖”
She squealed, kicked her feet, and hugged the diary to her chest.
Then she whispered to herself, eyes sparkling in the dark:
“Tomorrow… we go bigger.”
Part 3 – “Day Two: The Curve Awakens”
Kobayashi stood in front of her mirror, staring at her reflection with one eyebrow twitching upward.
Her skirt, the one she had worn a hundred times without issue, was currently engaged in a full-blown battle against her hips, and it was losing. The zipper had taken five minutes to coax up, and she was 80% sure it was being held together by pure stubbornness and residual caffeine.
She turned slightly, then immediately regretted it.
Her hips had definitely widened. Not a little. Not “maybe it’s just bloating.” No. There was a swoop there now, one that hadn’t been there before. A real, honest-to-god curve.
She poked her side experimentally and felt the soft give of new flesh.
“Oh my god,” she muttered. “I’m finally hitting puberty. At the age of twenty-something. Fantastic.”
Still, she couldn’t ignore the obvious. Her body was changing, and there was only one common denominator.
Power salad.
Tohru was already in the kitchen, cheerfully humming as she mixed something unnaturally green in a bowl that looked like it had been forged in another dimension.
Kobayashi shuffled in, still trying to tug her skirt down an inch.
“Good morning, Miss Kobayashi~!” Tohru beamed. “You look radiant again today!”
Kobayashi narrowed her eyes. “You keep saying that, and I’m starting to get nervous.”
Tohru stiffened, spoon halfway to the plate.
Kobayashi sat down slowly. “So. This... salad thing. What exactly is in it?”
“Just... you know!” Tohru laughed nervously. “Normal Earth things! Vitamins! Fiber! Um... body harmony boosters?”
“Body harmony boosters,” Kobayashi repeated flatly.
“And spiritual resonance greens!” Tohru added, as if that helped.
Kobayashi stared at her. “Did you just make that up on the spot?”
“No…?” Tohru lied. Badly.
Kobayashi sighed, picked up her chopsticks, and muttered, “This better not end with me growing wings or laying eggs.”
Tohru smiled innocently. “I promise."
Later – At the Office
Kobayashi walked down the office hall with the gait of someone who knew every pair of eyes were on her. Because they were.
Her skirt clung to her like a second skin. Her hips swayed now, not because she was trying to, but because they moved with a life of their own. Her coworkers parted around her like she was Moses in a pencil skirt.
Todoroki dropped his coffee. Again.
She reached her desk and sat down, then winced.
That’s new, she thought, shifting in her chair. There was definitely more cushion back there now. Like she was sitting on a beanbag in disguise. Her desk chair squeaked under her, sounding more scandalized than usual.
Her blouse hadn’t popped this time, thankfully, but it was tight. Not quite button-threatening, but snug enough to make her acutely aware of her own chest when she leaned forward.
And people were staring.
Again.
“Kobayashi-san,” one coworker asked awkwardly, “Did you, uh... do something different with your look?”
“Yeah,” she replied, deadpan. “I got hit by a magical puberty laser. Real hush-hush stuff.”
The coworker blinked. “...Oh.”
She turned back to her monitor, hiding a smirk. Honestly, that was more believable than the real explanation.
That Evening – Home
Kobayashi shuffled into the apartment, tossed her bag into the corner, and flopped onto the couch.
Tohru appeared instantly, offering slippers and another glistening bowl of salad.
“You know,” Kobayashi said, taking off her shoes with a grunt, “You’re way too excited about feeding me.”
“I just want to make sure you’re healthy and full of spiritual resonance!” Tohru chirped.
Kobayashi side-eyed her. “Are you sure you’re not fattening me up for a ritual?”
Tohru turned bright red and let out a panicked little squeak.
“No! Never! Unless... You want that?”
Kobayashi gave her a long, tired look. “No, Tohru.”
That Night – In Bed
Kobayashi lay on her side, then tried to roll onto her stomach.
She stopped.
Something was... off.
Her butt was too high. Too plump. It was like trying to lie on a cushiony incline. Her hips created a slope. Her lower back wasn’t used to the new distribution, and her legs kept shifting for balance.
“…My own butt is sabotaging me,” she muttered into the pillow.
She adjusted again, trying to get comfortable.
No luck.
It was like lying on a mattress that had grown its own beanbag.
She groaned and flipped onto her back, staring at the ceiling.
Tomorrow I’m wearing stretchy pants.
Meanwhile…
Tohru, back in her room, was scribbling frantically in her diary again, surrounded by hearts and glitter stickers.
“Operation Extra Power Salad – Day Two: She noticed!! Hips expanding! Skirt struggles confirmed! And she still ate the salad!! We are SO back. 💖💖💖”
She hugged the diary tight, kicking her legs in the air like an excited teenager.
“Tomorrow…” she whispered dramatically, “...we go even further beyond.”
Part 4 – “Day Three: The Bust Must Go On”
Kobayashi stood in front of her wardrobe, arms crossed beneath a chest that hadn’t needed this much support a week ago. Her eyes scanned the row of neatly folded blouses and hung-up work shirts, lips pressing into a tight line.
They looked like hers.
Same brands. Same styles. Same dull, practical colors she always wore.
But something was off.
She reached for a navy button-up she remembered wearing last Thursday. It had fit snug then, almost too snug, but now, in her hands, the fabric felt… roomier. Not oversized. Not ill-fitting. Just suspiciously perfect.
She tried another blouse. Same result. The sleeves were longer. The buttons had a tiny stretch to them they never used to. Her favorite cardigan? Still cozy, but it somehow hugged her expanded frame like it had been designed for her new dimensions.
“…Nope,” she muttered. “Not buying it.”
She turned slowly, pulling the blouse over her torso. It fit. Seamlessly. Not too tight, not too loose.
Which was exactly the problem.
“These should be straining. At least one of these should’ve popped a button by now.”
She looked down at herself, at the breasts that now rested like twin watermelons on her chest, at the curve of her hips that had become far too generous to pretend they were an optical illusion. There was no way her entire wardrobe had just conveniently grown with her.
Only one person had both the motive and the magical means.
“Tohru,” she said flatly, “You sneaky little lizard.”
She tugged at the collar. It stretched, just slightly, and snapped back into place like a magically obedient pet.
“…Yeah. That’s what I thought.”
And that was the case for all of her pieces of clothes.
Well, almost all of them.
There was one blouse Tohru apparently missed: A crisp, white button-up Kobayashi hadn’t worn in months.
Out of spite—or stubbornness—she grabbed it.
“Let’s see how this handles dragon salad sorcery,” she muttered.
Five minutes later…
Tohru walked past the bedroom and heard an explosive rrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiip.
“Kobayashi-san?! Are you alright!?”
Inside, Kobayashi stood with her blouse stretched wide open, only one button holding on for dear life near the bottom. The rest had surrendered instantly, one flying across the room and hitting the closet door.
She stood in silence.
Tohru peeked in. “...Oh my.”
Kobayashi didn’t move.
“I-I swear I didn’t touch that one! It must’ve been... uh... a laundry accident!”
Kobayashi turned her head very slowly. “This is a laundry accident?”
Tohru chuckled nervously. “You know how shirts shrink in the wash?”
“This shirt shrunk into a napkin.”
Later That Morning – The Office
Kobayashi wore her winter coat.
It was mid-spring.
The coat was zipped up to her chin and barely concealed the colossal changes happening beneath. Her figure had gone from flat to volcanic, and every step she took made the coat stretch ominously at the seams. Her chest bounced—yes, bounced—with a rhythm it never had before. Her shoulders sat higher too, and she realized with a sigh that she could now see over the top of the office cubicles.
She was taller. She didn’t know how much, but everything looked lower than it used to.
“New coat?” Todoroki asked, eyes darting awkwardly to the strained fabric around her chest.
“Cold front,” she replied, completely monotone.
“It’s twenty-two degrees.”
“Polar vortex.”
She sat at her desk with practiced dignity, adjusted her chair, and cracked her knuckles.
The chair creaked dramatically.
And yet… Her back didn’t hurt.
In fact, it felt great. Loose. Aligned. She tilted her head to the side and felt it pop with satisfying relief.
“Huh,” she muttered. “Shouldn’t this weigh a ton?”
Tohru would’ve burst into sparkles if she’d heard that.
That Evening – At Home
Kobayashi had the tape measure.
She had the notepad.
She had one working button on a shirt.
What she didn’t have was privacy.
Tohru burst into the room carrying a plate of cut fruit. “Snack time! I made your favorite—!”
She froze.
Kobayashi stood in a tank top and boxers, clutching a measuring tape around her chest with a look that could kill a god.
“Out,” she said.
Tohru’s brain blue-screened.
“I—! It’s not what it looks like! I mean—okay, it’s exactly what it looks like, but—!”
Kobayashi dropped the tape and pointed toward the door. “Out.”
Tohru stumbled backward, plate wobbling, face burning red. “S-Sorry!”
She bolted. The door slammed.
There was a moment of silence. Then, from the bedroom:
“Something is definitely up with this cabbage!!”
Meanwhile…
Tohru collapsed onto her bed, face red, heart pounding, arms clutching her diary to her chest like it was a sacred text.
She slowly opened it and wrote:
“Operation Extra Power Salad – Day Three: Bust transformation: achieved! Coat required for public safety! Height increase confirmed! Back tension: gone! Caught Kobayashi mid-measurement... Accidental divine blessing. Tomorrow may kill me. 💖💖💖”
She giggled uncontrollably into her pillow, whispering into the fabric:
“She’s becoming... perfect.”
Part 5 – “Day Four: Thick Thighs and Doorframe Fights”
Kobayashi didn’t walk into the hallway that morning.
She strutted.
Her thighs were rubbing. Constantly. Aggressively.
There was no space left between them, just a warm, swishing friction that came with every step. She shuffled forward like someone dragging twin hams in yoga pants.
She turned sideways to squeeze through the apartment door frame and still bumped both hips on the way out.
“Are these doors getting smaller?” she muttered. “...Not a good sign if I have to ask that question…”
She ducked under the living room chandelier. Which… was new.
No, wait. She was new.
She was taller again. Her head was brushing the ceiling fan.
Tohru, waiting in the kitchen with breakfast and a bowl of sinisterly sparkling salad, could barely contain her joy.
“Good morning, Miss Kobayashi! You’re glowing today!”
“I’m ducking under door frames and my thighs are clapping when I walk,” Kobayashi replied, deadpan. “I’m glowing with friction burns.”
Tohru blushed hard at that image.
Kobayashi sat down to eat, only to realize sitting wasn’t a simple act anymore. She had to shift her hips twice to get into position. Her butt took up more of the cushion than the actual cushion.
She looked down at her outfit: baggy shirt, wide-legged pants, and annoyingly everything fit perfectly.
Too perfectly.
“…Tohru.”
“Yes~?” Tohru blinked innocently, tail wagging behind her.
“You enchanted my clothes again, didn’t you?”
“Wh-what! That’s slander!”
“You even resized my underwear. Who does that?!”
“I just wanted you to be comfortable! You’ve outgrown so much beauty, it’s only fair your wardrobe grows too!”
Kobayashi pinched the bridge of her nose, muttering, “This cabbage is gonna be the death of me.”
Later – The Office
Kobayashi’s arrival at work was... cinematic.
She turned sideways to enter the door.
She ducked under the hanging sign that read “IT Support.”
She tried to walk past a line of filing cabinets and got wedged for half a second. The sound of fabric rubbing against metal was followed by a very dramatic thud as her hips bumped a cabinet drawer shut.
Several heads turned.
She kept walking like nothing happened, face deadpan, eyes forward, the very picture of a woman who had given up on being surprised.
At her desk, she tried to sit again, and failed to do so gracefully.
The chair groaned.
“Stop judging me,” she said flatly, looking at it.
She leaned over to grab her mouse, only for her own bust to squish into the desk with a soft fwump, making her jolt back.
“Okay,” she hissed to herself. “I can’t tell if this is a power fantasy or a public health hazard.”
Back Home – Evening
Kobayashi kicked off her shoes and exhaled like someone returning from war.
Tohru glided in, radiant and humming, salad bowl in hand.
“Dinner~!”
“I swear,” Kobayashi said, pointing a finger, “If I wake up tomorrow and find out that your little salat gave me boobs the size of the moon, I’ll…”
“Nonono! No moon size. Promise.”
“...Good.”
“Just maybe a good little extra…?”
Kobayashi stared.
Tohru beamed.
“You’re enjoying this,” Kobayashi accused.
“I am basking in your blossoming femininity,” Tohru said dreamily.
“I’m pretty sure I bounced a guy into a copier today just by brushing past him.”
“Beautiful.”
Later That Night
Kobayashi changed into pajamas, again resized, again suspiciously stretchy, and flopped onto her bed. It creaked, and the mattress adjusted like it was welcoming a much larger occupant.
She rubbed her temples, sighed, and stared at the ceiling.
“Okay I will stop this…” she muttered. “But maybe one more day of this nonsense.”
She wasn’t even mad anymore.
Just... tired. And slightly impressed. And still trying to sleep without accidentally smothering herself with her own bust.
In Tohru’s Room
The diary opened once more. Glitter pens at the ready.
“Operation Extra Power Salad – Day Four: Door frames: threatened. Thighs: magnificent. Sitting: compromised. She caught me enchanting the underwear. Worth it. Tomorrow is the FINAL DAY. May the curves guide us. 💖💖💖”
Tohru closed the book and squealed into her pillow.
Tomorrow... she becomes LEGENDARY.
Part 6 – “Day Five: Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Curves”
Kobayashi had to duck to exit her bedroom.
Not stoop, not hunch, duck. The top of the doorframe scraped against her hair, and her shoulders brushed both sides as she stepped through. Her hips followed with a soft thump-thump, knocking gently against the walls like they’d forgotten how to be subtle.
She was huge. Not just tall, titanic. She stood a solid head taller than Tohru now. Her bust was bigger than Lucoa’s, full and impossibly round, rising and falling with every breath like two perfect, physics-defying mountains. Her thighs jiggled with every step like pudding made of power, and her hips swayed in a rhythm that could cause traffic accidents.
And she knew it.
She walked into the kitchen like a woman who owned the continent, pausing only when she caught Tohru staring at her with wide, sparkly eyes and a bowl of salad frozen in her hands.
“…Don’t say anything,” Kobayashi warned, pointing a finger.
Tohru squeaked.
“I mean it. Not a word.”
“But—!” Tohru trembled. “You’re… so… radiant…”
Kobayashi sighed, grabbing toast. Her arms brushed her own chest. It was still weird. Still heavy. Still slightly surreal. And yet… she smiled a little.
“…My back feels amazing, by the way.”
Tohru’s heart exploded into confetti.
Later – On the Street
Every step Kobayashi took caused a minor scene.
People stopped. Turned. Whispered.
She passed by a café and knocked over a row of tiny patio chairs with her hips. She apologized, deadpan, while readjusting her trench coat around her generous curves.
At the train station, someone offered her their seat. Then someone else offered her theirs. Then someone just stood up out of sheer intimidation.
She didn’t take any of them.
Instead, she stood tall, arms crossed, looking down at the world like a marble statue come to life. She felt… good. Powerful. Beautiful in a way she never thought possible. Her balance was off, sure she had to walk like she was carrying twin sacks of flour strapped to her chest and thighs, but the confidence was real.
That Evening – At Home
Tohru was nervously fluffing pillows she had already fluffed five times.
Kobayashi entered the room quietly.
Tohru jumped like she’d been caught committing a crime. “K-Kobayashi-san! Dinner’s ready! I added a new twist to the salad—”
“Stop.”
Tohru froze.
Kobayashi stepped forward, crossing her arms beneath her monstrous bust with a motion that lifted them like a stage curtain.
“You fed me something, didn’t you?”
Tohru’s tail curled. Her ears drooped. “I… I did.”
Silence.
“I just wanted you to feel beautiful!” Tohru blurted. “You said you were jealous of the dragons and how curvy we were and I thought if I could just give you a little boost—”
“Tohru.”
“—and it wasn’t meant to be a weird thing and I only used a teensy bit of Curvaceous Cabbage at first, but then you started changing and you looked so amazing and I—I—”
“Tohru!”
She stopped mid-panic, blinking up at her towering beloved.
Kobayashi stared at her for a long moment… then stepped forward and wrapped her arms around her in a soft, squishy hug.
Tohru squeaked.
Her face was pressed directly into Kobayashi’s chest.
She couldn’t see anymore. She could barely breathe.
But she was also pretty sure she’d died and gone to heaven.
“…Next time you want to help me feel better about myself,” Kobayashi murmured, “Maybe talk to me first.”
Tohru made a small, incoherent noise into her cleavage.
Kobayashi pulled back just enough to press a kiss against Tohru’s cheek.
Tohru immediately short-circuited.
Steam practically shot out of her ears.
Kobayashi turned, walked to the kitchen, and picked up her dinner plate.
She glanced over her shoulder with the tiniest smirk.
“…But keep the salads coming.”
Tohru passed out in a cloud of sparkles and hearts.
Operation Extra Power Salad: COMPLETE.
Confidence boosted. Curves acquired. Chaos endured.
And somewhere in another realm, the Curvaceous Cabbage swayed gently in the wind… dreaming of its next victim.
