Mary bursts through the front door, her cheeks flushed and eyes sparkling with excitement. She's clutching a large, shiny box to her chest, its wrapping paper catching the light and throwing tiny rainbows across the walls.
"Alfred! Alfred, where are you?" she calls out, her voice trembling with barely contained glee. "You won't believe what I've found!"
She kicks off her shoes, sending them flying across the entryway, and dashes into the living room. The box in her arms lets out a tiny "ping!" sound, causing Mary to giggle uncontrollably.
"Alfred, darling! Come quickly! I have the most extraordinary present for you!" Mary declares, stopping with a spectacular landing right in front of a guy sitting on a couch, who was clearly used to her overeagerness. “Tada!“
“If it's such an amazing present, then why do you not walk more carefully with it?“ Alfred retorted, to which Mary giggled.
“True, I guess I should.“ She said, having realized that just a tad too late. “Anyway! Haaaaaappy Birthday, my darling Alfred!“
Alfred chuckles, shaking his head affectionately at Mary's exuberance. "Thank you, my dear. You're as subtle as a fireworks display, as always." He reaches out, accepting the shimmering box with an exaggerated bow. "Now, let's see what all the fuss is about, shall we?"
With deliberate slowness that makes Mary bounce on her toes in anticipation, Alfred begins to unwrap the present. He peels back each piece of tape with meticulous care, savoring Mary's impatient huffs and puffs. Finally, he lifts the lid, and his eyes widen in genuine surprise.
"Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle," he breathes, reaching into the box with reverent hands. "Mary, you didn't!"
He gently lifts out two exquisitely crafted figurines, each depicting a Lamia. The first figurine shows a regal Lamia with flowing white hair, blue skin and purple scales, her pose suggesting she's about to cast a spell. The second is more casual, a red-haired beauty with pink coils curled beneath her in a casual dress as she oozes excitement.
"Oh my word…," Alfred murmurs, his voice filled with awe. "How on earth did you find these? They're incredibly rare!"
Mary beams, practically glowing with pride. "Oh, you know me. Just browsing some garage sales and happen to find the best for you~ As always~”
Though as Alfred turns the figurines over in his hands, admiring their intricate details, a soft glow begins to emanate from them. The light pulses gently, almost imperceptibly at first, but gradually intensifies until it bathes the room in a shimmering aura.
"Mary," Alfred says slowly, his eyes narrowing as he looks up at her, "these aren't just ordinary figurines, are they?"
Mary's smile falters for a moment, and she starts fidgeting with the hem of her shirt. "What do you mean, darling? They're just lovely collectibles, that's all."
But as the words leave her mouth, the glow from the figurines intensifies, and to their mutual astonishment, both Mary and Alfred find themselves enveloped in the same radiant light. It dances across their skin like the touch of a masseuse, warm and tingly.
Alfred's suspicion grows with each passing second. "Mary, I'm going to ask you one more time, and I want the truth. Where did you really get these?"
Mary's eyes darted around the room, avoiding Alfred's piercing gaze. "Oh, you know, just a little shop I stumbled upon. Nothing out of the ordinary, really!"
As they speak, an odd sensation begins to creep up from their toes. It starts as a mild itch, but quickly intensifies into an insistent tingling that spreads up their calves and thighs.
Alfred shifts uncomfortably on the couch, his eyes widening as he glances down at his legs. The fabric of his jeans seems to ripple and shimmer, as if it's suddenly become liquid. Before his astonished gaze, the denim begins to recede, inch by inch, transforming into a short, pleated skirt that barely reaches upper-thigh.
"Mary," he says, his voice rising in pitch, "what in the world is happening?"
But Mary is too preoccupied with her own transformation to answer. Her flowing sundress is rapidly shrinking, the hem climbing higher and higher until it, too, becomes a flirty mini-skirt. As the fabric retreats, it reveals a startling sight: delicate, shimmering pink scales are sprouting across her legs, starting at her ankles and creeping upward like a blossoming flower.
Alfred's legs are undergoing a similar change, but instead of pink, his scales are a deep purple. They spread rapidly, covering his calves and knees, then advancing towards his thighs.
"Oh, that?" Mary says, her voice unnaturally high and breathy. "I didn’t know that would happen. Sorta. I kinda actually did. See, there was this garden sale just now and this lovely lady. Her name was Nagisa and she was lovely. You should have seen her. We talked for like hours about…”
“Get to the point, Mary.“ Alfred sighed, watching his girlfriend spiral out of control.
Mary's words tumble out in a rush as she watches, transfixed, as the scales on her legs begin to merge. "Well, you see, Nagisa and I got to talking about mythical creatures, and I mentioned how much you adore Lamias. She got this twinkle in her eye and said she had just the thing..."
Alfred can barely focus on Mary's rambling explanation. His attention is utterly focused of his own body. The purple scales have completely overtaken his legs, which are now fusing together with an oddly pleasant tingling sensation. He watches in fascination as his skin takes on a pale blue hue, starting at his fingertips and creeping up his arms like watercolor paint spreading across a canvas.
"Mary," he interrupts, his voice growing in annoyance, "I appreciate the thought, but this is a bit more than I bargained for on my birthday."
Mary giggles nervously, her own transformation progressing rapidly. Her legs have fully merged into a sinuous, scale-covered tail that coils beneath her on the couch. "I mean… Nagisa assured me it's completely reversible... eventually."
Alfred raises an eyebrow, opening his mouth to retort, but instead lets out a gasp as his newly formed tail gives an experimental flick. His retort dies on his lips as a wave of sensation washes over him. His newly formed tail begins to elongate, stretching out across the living room floor in a mesmerizing display of purple scales. The transformation accelerates, his tail growing longer and more sinuous with each passing second.
"Mary," he gasps, "I think we might have a slight problem here."
But Mary is too captivated by her own metamorphosis to respond. Her pink tail unfurls like a ribbon, spilling under the couch and snaking across the carpet, causing her to stumble and fall down. Kinda. It was very hard to tell what falling down as a Lamia would even be like. Both tails just grow thicker and more muscular, easily capable of supporting their weights should they figure out how to use them.
“Yeah, I noticed.“ Mary answered flatly, trying to get a hang of her new serpentine body.
Meanwhile, Alfred's body began changing in quite a different way. His waist begins to narrow, cinching in like an invisible corset is being tightened around his midsection. At the same time, his hips flare outward, creating a pronounced curve that wasn't there before. The change is so dramatic that he can feel his center of gravity shifting, forcing him to adjust his posture on the couch.
"This is...," Alfred murmurs, his voice rising in pitch as he speaks. He watches in fascination as his shoulders seem to shrink, becoming more delicate and feminine with each passing moment. The muscles in his arms soften, losing their angular definition and taking on a more graceful contour.
“Mary. This is not normal. Tell me what you or those figurines did!“ Alfred demanded, by now pretty much stuck to the couch. All the while his skin just finished turning completely, the pale blue hue that started at his fingertips now enveloping his entire body.
"Well, you see," Mary begins, twirling a lock of her hair, causing it to turn crimson from the tips up, "Nagisa told me these figurines were special. She said they'd make any lamia lover's dream come to reality by turning the nearest two people into lamias."
As she speaks, Mary's hips begin to expand, creating an even more pronounced hourglass figure. She shifts uncomfortably, trying to adjust to her new proportions. "I didn't fully believe her, of course. I mean, magic figurines? That's the stuff of fairy tales!" She lets out a nervous laugh that turns into a gasp as she feels her hair continue to change, the rich red color spreading from tip all the way to the root. “I just wanted the figurines because I know you’d like them!“
"But seeing this," Mary gestures at their transformed bodies with a wave of her hand, "I might believe it a bit more now."
Alfred stares at her incredulously, his now delicate features contorting in a mix of disbelief and exasperation. "You might believe it a bit more? Mary, we're turning into snake people!"
As if to emphasize his point, Alfred's hair begins to lengthen, cascading down his shoulders in waves of shimmering white. His facial features soften further, becoming more feminine with each passing second. To which Mary scratched the back of her crimson haired head.
"Well... Lamias to be exact." As Mary said that, both of their chests start growing simultaneously, swelling outward like balloons being inflated. The sensation unlike anything they had felt yet - an unreasonably pleasant tingling warmth that spreads across their torsos as their shirts strain against the expanding flesh.
Alfred gasps, his eyes widening in shock as he watches his formerly flat chest blossom into two perfectly round mounds. "Those are…" he mutters, his voice now a soft soprano, until shouting out loud, “MARY!!!“.
“I know…“ Mary, meanwhile, lets out a surprised squeak as her already ample bosom grows even larger. The buttons of her blouse strain dangerously before popping off one by one, revealing a lacy bra that's quickly becoming too small.
As their chests continue to expand, reaching well beyond DD cups, Alfred becomes acutely aware of another, more intimate change. A strange sensation overtakes his groin - a feeling of retreat and inversion. He squirms uncomfortably on the couch.
"Mary," Alfred squeaks, his voice high and panicked, "I think I'm losing... I am losing it!"
“No need to lose it! I am sure that I can fix it if I…“
“That’s not what I meaAAAAHHHnnn~“ Mary blushes furiously, having finally realized what Alfred was talking about and was about to avert her gaze, but it was already too late. Alfred manhood had rapidly diminished, shrunken smaller and smaller until it finally inverted completely. In its place, a new opening formed - soft, sensitive, and undeniably feminine.
"Oh my," Mary breathes, her own cheeks flushed bright red. "I guess that means we are both girls now…?”
“…“ Alfred just sat there, looking at her own snake girl body, then back at her girlfriend, who was still coiled up on the ground. Then back to her own. “You know… I don’t know if I should be angry at you for that or not. I just need a moment to process… this.“
“EEEHHHH! But I tried so hard! Those figurines are hella rare and also…“
PLING
The sound resonates through the room, and before Alfred can fully process what's happening, two soft, springy feeler-like horns sprout from the top of her head. The horns are a shining shade of lavender, perfectly complementing Alfred's new blue skin and white hair.
Mary's eyes widen in fascination, her own transformation instantly forgotten. "Oh my goodness, Alfred! Look at those adorable little horns? Feelers?" she exclaims, her voice a mix of excitement and wonder.
Struggling to maneuver her new serpentine body, Mary attempts to rise from her coiled position on the floor. Her pink tail slithers awkwardly as she tries to find her balance, hitting one cupboard after another on her way over. After a few comical attempts, she manages to slither behind the sofa, her movements becoming more fluid with each passing second.
"Let me see those up close!" Mary giggles, pressing her newly enhanced bosom against the back of Alfred's head. The soft pressure causes Alfred to let out a surprised "Eep!" as Mary's hands reach out to gently caress the delicate horns.
“What ARE those…?“ As Mary's fingers make contact with the horns, Alfred gasps, but the now red headed Lamia just continued. “They are soft and Squishy. So Shiny and Smooth!“
The horns weren't particularly sensitive. Alfred could feel her touch, yes, but it was neither pleasant nor unpleasant. But that might just have been because she was too distracted about the giant squishy boobs of her girlfriend being pressed straight against the back of her head.
So all she did was blushingly mutter, “…you're the squishy one, not me…“
It turned out, the former guy, now purple lamia didn’t actually mind being a Lamia that much anymore. He had two very big and round reasons to actually like the situation quite a lot now actually…
