Any beta readers for Talon City?
🕑 Added 2018-11-29 16:34:19 +0000 UTC I've been working on this conventional novel off and on this year, and frankly progress is soooo much easier to make as opposed to IF projects. I really think I could get the draft finished this winter, even while still working on Starstreakers! and CCH3.When I say it's easier to make progress, I mean I can write a chapter of Talon City once in a while during lunch. I just can't do that with my IF projects.
Reminder to folks who don't know: Talon City (first novel tentatively subtitled: "Shadow Counsel") follows the exploits of Rory, an owl attorney who is assigned to defend a songbird in a high-profile murder case. Central characters include Rory's plucky assistant, Concordia, the enigmatic crow prosecutor, a new arrival to Talon City, and the feared Ayvex, ruler of the Open that surrounds the city.
I need to keep beta reading private to keep my options open if/when I get ready to publish, so if anyone wants to beta read what I have up to this point, just comment below. Two or three people, preferably people open to the idea of a "fantasy legal thriller," would be perfect. I would make the link available this weekend.
