You will want to watch the final movie that recently came out before watching any others or moving to live action. The final movie concludes the silver soul arc and the current story for Gintama. I say current because I expect this series to come back again someday.

I swear. The first episode of the Silver soul arc, specially that first few scenes with MADAO, always make me cry of joy. "Inmigration Bureau Chief, Hasegawa Taizou!" You're in for a ride.

Go ahead and take your time with the Silver Soul arc because not only is it split in two, it's also got a bunch of mini-arcs sprinkled in here and there.

You also have to watch gintama the semi-final before the movie and I don’t think that it’s on Crunchyroll
