Gintama is the master of "we are ending the show...oh wait, not really." Which is why even though the manga and show officially ended, no one believes it XD

Love gintama. I've watched it week to week when it was first coming out, then had to rewatch the whole thing two more times. The feels, happy and sad, are just magical.

Ok, before I get into the infodump, I can say that none of this is canon. I do not know about the whole financial crisis messing with Sunrise’s money. Infodump: -both “Space Battleship Yamanto” and the Gundam franchise are owned by Sunrise. -The 2nd “ending” is a parody of Neon Genesis Evangelion’s final episode. -In the 2nd “ending,” Hasegawa takes the place of the Eva character “Commander Ikari,” who, fittingly enough, has the same VA. -The Baseball ending(well, Gintoki becoming an MLB player, not the other stuff) is somewhat typical of the ending of Baseball manga. Baseball is the biggest sport in Japan, and every Japanese baseball player dreams of getting into the MLB. As such, that’s usually the goal of baseball manga protagonists. -The 4th “Ending” is a weird magical girl ending. -The Shonen Jump pirate “thing” is the Japanese logo for Jump. So you could infer that Jump itself is telling Gintama to stop screwing around.
