Life Update & 2022 plans!
🕑 Added 2021-12-21 22:39:21 +0000 UTCHey huns! How are you doing?!
I hope well (; v ; )!
First of all, feel free to skip to the TL;DR at the end of this rant in case you don't want to read it all!
After giving it some thought, I've made some decisions and I'm coming through this life update to let you know what those decisions are and why I decided to make them!
Since mid August I've been having very bad anxiety and panic attacks whenever I post something on the internet and due to the hectic schedule I haven't been able to take some time to reflect on it, investigate the cause behind it and perhaps find a way to treat it! Still, I've been doing my best to push through it and keep interacting with everyone and doing my duty, however it's becoming harder and harder to do these days, despite some of the anxiety not being as bad as it was back in August/September. So this is the first thing I wanted to adress! (This is also the reason why I haven't been able to put myself out there and promote my patreon and everything, which doesn't help me financially but oh well, GOTTA ACCEPT MY LIMITS LOL)
The second is, I might have addressed this before on Instagram, but I'll do a full explanation here~ I have been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis ever since I was young and I have been treated with injections before. Until my second year of college everything seemed to be under control until it wasn't anymore. Like everyone's body has different reactions to heavy stress, mine expresses it through my skin and well... GUESS WHO'S BACK? BACK AGAIN?! My dermatitis. For the past years I've been struggling trying to treat my skin condition, but whenever I get stressed I break out in hives, get cuts everyone and it becomes a pain to do anything, from sitting, to showering, to sleeping to even doing simple things like cooking, since one of my most affected areas are my hands. I have to patch up my hands everyday in order to draw so I won't get everything all messy because of well.. wounds and things that happen when you have wounds ( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉)... And well, you can imagine how this was pairing up really well with the anxiety I have been feeling since August LOL!
Third thing is, late November I was notified that the lease of the place I have been renting for the past 3 years was up and since my finances are still not stable I'll have to move out~ Thanks to my mom, who's been helping me a lot through this whole process, I've got another place that's cheaper and everything, but for that I'll be moving cities and I'll have to do that before December is up! So I've really been running against the clock to make it all work, pack everything, buy new furniture and all that jazz while still pushing out content with my shitty ass hands X,D! (i need to buy new hands ASAP!!)
So what I've decided to do is:
I'll do all remaining content for this month GLADLY and I want to make sure this is said! Although I've been ranting, I want it to be clear that all that's happening is my fault, me not being able to take care of myself and me pushing myself over some of my limits and it all coming back to bite me in the ass! I enjoy creating content, I enjoy interacting with everyone and I enjoy the whole shabang! The anxiety and stress is more me seeing how the internet has been working and how digital interactions and communications are being handled negatively than anything related to creating art~ (art is a whole separate set of anxieties and insecurities, but it's not what has been affecting me lately).
The second thing I decided is to close my patreon during the month of January! Since I have a lot of things to take care of with me moving to another city and getting the place ready and all that, I'll be needing the time to do that! So I've already paused the billing for January! You guys can stay signed up to this patreon, in case you want to, and won't be charged for next month! I hope to be able to come back in February however if I need more time we'll definitely be back on March! Meanwhile, I'll be taking commissions to make ends meet ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ (hopefully LOL)
The third thing is an update to how my patreon will work on 2022! (so it's more like a third, a fourth, a fifth.... thing (☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞) How we have operated this year is that each month's content is exclusive to that month and then the content is erased from my patreon afterwards. Starting from 2022 onwards, SFW and NSFW content will stay up on my patreon in JPG format! Lawd knows this bitch needs some help and, after being adviced by other creators, I learned that I should be allowing a backlog of content to be grown so it will be more interesting for people to sign up and all that jazz! (as you can see, I'm not the best at marketing LOL #aflop)
Does that mean there won't be more exclusive content? IT DOESN'T!
SFW and NSFW content will be available as a backlog only in 72dpi + with a watermark in the corner of pictures/panels. Patrons of each month will receive the high quality, printable, 300dpi+, watermark free art of that month! Also, only patrons of that month can suggest and vote on the themes they want for the art + other things done during that month. And since next year I won't be doing bday gifts to everyone, I'll have more time to do fun projects with you guys!
Other perks to being signed is to be able to buy the packs of this year, 2021, for the $9 tag, since I'll be releasing them monthly on gumroad, starting on March 2022, for $10 each (or more since I still need to check how much they take as a fee). Also, if everything works out, I want to do merch next year and see if we can maybe have a tier on patreon that gets you some physical goodies or at least a big ol discount on whatever I manage to have on a merch store ;v;~ WELL, plans to the plan to the plan LOL! Let's first see if one thing works before me wanting to take a leap (see? this is why i get all stressed because I start making plans and then stress myself over not finding time to put those plans into action! basically a masochist ヽ༼◉ل͜◉༽ﾉ)
So yeah... I THINK THAT'S ALL! SORRY FOR THE RANT EVERYONE! But I needed to update you all on what's been going on, why I might have felt a bit distant these past times and why it takes me so long to create art T - T! And also update you the patreon stuff!
BUT TO FINISH THIS WHOLE UPDATE OFF I seriously would like to thank you ALL for the love, support and trust you put into my work this past year (T v T )!! (and this goes to all my former patrons as well!) I really couldn't have done it without you guys! Because of your support I'll be able to move somewhere else and have saved a bit of money to buy my furniture for the new place and hopefully start fresh! So I really owe you guys everything and I'll be forever thankful to you for allowing me to work on something I care about and believe in and makes me happy!!!
And, once again, feel free to give me any feedback, tell me whatever's in your mind and if you have any ideas you'd like to see from me in 2022! After all, lots of heads think better than one and this is a service I'm providing to you guys after all!
I love you all very very much, honestly T v T! Thank you for believing in me even when I myself don't!
Sending you guys lots of love!
Nori~
