Colossus of the bridge

In front of you, the bridge rises—imposing, its cables stretched like the strings of an instrument tuned for a melancholic song. The water beneath it is still, as if the world itself is holding its breath.
But the most unsettling thing is not the bridge.
It’s the colossal figure looming between the clouds, emerging from the horizon like a memory too large to contain. A massive face, solemn, eyes lost in the distance. His beard blends into the bridge’s mist, his jacket continues the lines of the landscape. He doesn’t move, doesn’t blink—but there’s life in those eyes. Life, and sorrow.
You stand below, tiny in the face of such enormity. You look up, trying to grasp if what you’re seeing is real, or a manifestation of your own thoughts projected against the sky. Is that figure a god? A memory? Or an entity trapped between two worlds?
Everything is silent, except for the faint creak of the wind and the trembling of your thoughts. The bridge, the giant, you… all suspended between what was and what’s yet to come.
