Daemon was snapped out of his thoughts when his dragon once again let out a roar mixed with an annoyed shriek as he looked completely indignant at the piece of meat in front of him. But this time it didn't stay still, as it moved over the piece of meat and opened his mouth wide as he seemed to be trying to regurgitate something, but it only took Daemon a few seconds to figure out what he really wanted to do. And his suspicions were confirmed when after much effort, Glacius? no, definitely not. His dragon recoiled in exhaustion at his effort and annoyed at not having been able to achieve his goal, raising his gaze to look at him expectantly before his gaze returned to the meat.
Daemon smiled at finally being able to understand what it was he really wanted and said to him.
“You don't like raw meat, do you?”
His dragon roared in the affirmative and Daemon didn't need to know any more before he turned to the other person who still remained strangely silent in the room and spoke loudly to her, snapping her out of her trance.
“Lady Stark!” The lady of Winterfell jerked in surprise as she answered him startled.
“Yes?” Her blue eyes moving between him and the creature at her back.

Catelyn couldn't believe what was happening, she couldn't believe what she had just seen, she really couldn't believe it. So, leaving that option aside, she thought about what other options she had.
Though of one thing she was sure, bastard or not, there was no doubt that what Lyanna said was true. He was indeed the son of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, for none but those with the blood of old Valyria had the ability to come that close to one of those beasts without being turned to ash. And now that he had a real dragon on his hands, as much as it bothered her to admit or accept it, the bastard had just become one of the most powerful and dangerous persons on the entire continent. For he was right when he said that it didn't matter if you had gold, powerful allies or even an army behind you when you rode on the back of a dragon. There was no weapon you could buy or castle you could hide in or army that could stand up to it.
And although it would be a few years before all that was possible, he still posed a great threat. And that forced her to think about the other option she had, if instead of opposing the bastard and trying to assassinate the beast. She decided to accept his proposal to marry Sansa and thus ensure her survival and that of her family by putting them on the right side in the war, which at this point Catelyn had no doubt would actually happen, sooner or later.
Deepening that thought, Catelyn began to think about how the continent would be divided in this new war, about who would be her allies and her enemies. No doubt her greatest enemies would be the crown and because of Robert's marriage to Cersei, the Lannister’s would be behind him. She did not know what to think about the Martell’s, she doubted they would side with the Lannister’s, their hatred for them was well known for what they did to Princess Elia and her children, but she also doubted they would support Jon's claim, since it was based entirely on the forbidden union between Rhaegar and Lyanna and Catelyn seriously doubted, they would be willing to listen to her sister-in-law's version. She also doubted about the Eyrie's position, Lord Arryn was married to her sister and had been the mentor and like a second father to Ned. But right now, he was also Robert Baratheon's Hand and had also been Robert Baratheon's mentor. Catelyn even felt sorry for the poor man, for he would be caught in the middle of it all, when the truth came out, she had no doubt that Robert would demand her husband's head.
She didn't even give the Greyjoy’s a second thought, she was sure the treacherous and dishonorable raiders would seek their own benefit during the chaos as they always do.
As for her allies, she thought of the Tyrells, who in ancient times were close and faithful servants of the Targaryen’s, which they proved during the rebellion when they supported Prince Rhaegar. But times had changed and there would be no assurance that they would side with Jon. Although, perhaps the presence of the dragon would change their minds, at worst they would remain neutral. And that led her finally to her father, Lord Hoster Tully, who was possibly in the same position as Lord Arryn, her father had been an important piece during the rebellion and was a strong ally in helping to overthrow the Targaryen’s. Perhaps she could convince her to join her side, but to do so would mean openly opposing his other daughter.
Which of the two would he support? Her or Lysa. Would he side with a Targaryen when in the past he had gone to war to overthrow them? She was not sure.
What she was sure of was that the continent would once again plunge back into complete chaos. A new war for the Iron Throne would once again devastate Westeros and she had to make her choice as to which side she would be on. On that would depend not only her survival, but also that of her family.
Finally realizing that she had reached the kitchen, Catelyn knew there was only one obvious choice. After all, she knew that no one could oppose the dragons. So, she knew she had no choice but to serve and obey, no matter how much she hated it, she had to do it for her daughter, for her family.
Family, duty, honor. Those were her words and that was the path she would take. Although, something told her that she would have to give up her honor and dignity to save her family.

She had no choice but to obey, no matter what the bastard asked or demanded of her, she was willing to do anything to save her family. For no matter the power or armies King Robert had behind him, or the influence and gold of the Lannister’s, none of that would matter once the bastard's dragon grew. No one would be able to oppose him. That's why she would have to do whatever it took to get Sansa to marry him, her daughter would be a Queen.

“What?” she asked in confusion, being pulled out of her thoughts when she heard the bastard mutter something.
