The Restoration of House Targaryen Chapter 11

Both Sansa and Daenerys hurried to the war room where they had been summoned. Entering abruptly and causing all eyes in the room to turn to them. Apparently, they had been the last to be called, as all the other Lords and Generals were already there. Jon, as it could not be otherwise, was in the middle of the room, with his arms resting on the table where the map of the north rested. A grim and thoughtful gaze graced his face.
Sansa quickly wanted to step aside and let her join Jon's side, but Daenerys would not allow it. For before the redhead could do so, she took her by the hand and made them both walk towards him in the centre of the room. Where it was, she who finally asked Jon, though speaking softly, her voice easily filled the entire room.
“What happened?”
Jon looked up, as if just noticing her presence alongside his sister's. And if he noticed that their hands were clasped, he didn't seem to mind, preferring to answer her by saying.
“Bran saw the walkers.” Swallowing heavily before continuing. “They're not marching toward Winterfell as we initially thought they would.”
Confused and worried about that, Daenerys asked him.
“Where are they headed?”
Turning his gaze back to the map on the table, her husband-to-be pointed to a spot on the map before saying aloud.
“White Harbor.”
“We need to tell them. We need to warn them immediately.” This time, it was Sansa who spoke.
"It's already done, but due to the harsh winter conditions the Maester believes the message could take a full day or maybe even two to arrive. And it may be too late by then.”
“So, what are we going to do?”
Daenerys asked him, hoping that Jon had some sort of backup plan or had come up with some idea to help those people. But her husband-to-be didn't answer her, he simply let the room fall back into a deep, resigned silence. But she decided to persist anyway, saying.
“We can't just let all those people die!”
“There's nothing we can do, Daenerys.” Jon spat, before taking a calming breath and continuing to tell her. “There is no way we can move our entire army to White Harbor in time, and the coastal city has not been prepared to withstand a siege by the army of the dead, we cannot help them. We can only hope that the raven arrives in time and they can evacuate in time.”
“There are over a hundred thousand people in White Harbor, if the Night King turns them all, the number of his army would double in just one day.” Sansa spoke again, pointing out the danger it would pose if they let the Night's King take White Harbor.
Much as with Daenerys, Jon had no response. That's when Daenerys suggested.
“We can use the dragons; it would certainly be much faster than a raven and the weather would not be a problem. I'm sure we can reach White Harbor in less than a day.”
Daenerys' suggestion got many reactions from those present; the vast majority certainly did not agree with them embarking on this reckless mission. But the Targaryen Queen only cared about one person's opinion and that was her King's. but judging by his expression, she could already tell he wasn't too keen on her idea either and her suspicions were confirmed when he told her bluntly.
“No. There's no way I'm going to let you fly all the way to White Harbor.”
Tilting her head slightly to the side as she looked at him in disbelief, she answered him, her anger and indignation much more than clear.
“I was not aware that you could give me orders, my lord.”
“Fucking hells, Daenerys.” Jon said sharply as he pounded the table and glared at her. “This is not the time to make rash and unwise decisions, the dragons are the most important and powerful assets we have against the army of the dead. We cannot risk losing them by flying alone and without any reinforcements to White Harbor.”
But Daenerys did not back down from her idea or from Jon and answered him just as effusively.
“I don't plan to sit here and let all those people die for nothing.”
Jon let out a weary sigh at the stubbornness of the woman who would be his wife. No doubt at times he wished she would be that much more compliant. But it was also that same fire she had that matched his own that drew him to her so much. But this was not one of those times and turning to Tyrion, Jorah and Missandei he said effusively.
“You are her advisors, are you not? Well advise this stubborn hot-blooded woman and talk some sense into her that what she plans to do is suicidal.”
Both men quickly stepped forward as they tried to give her their reasons and explain to their Queen why this was a terrible idea and counterproductive to them and what they were trying to accomplish. The only exception was Missandei, who stayed in her place and didn't say a single word. Although, that shouldn't have surprised him much, with how loyal she was to her Queen and how much she trusted her. No doubt, she was always going to be willing to follow her and trust fully in whatever decision she made.
After both Tyrion and Jorah had finished speaking. And despite having listened to them, Daenerys seemed to care little or nothing about what her advisors had to say and declared as she looked back at him.
“I hoped that when I found the right man, worthy of my love and to be my future husband. He would always be by my side in any decision I made and show me his support in the most difficult circumstances. Especially when it came to doing the right thing, but it seems I was wrong.” With nothing more to say to him, Daenerys turned to her faithful friend and servant and said. “Missandei, I will need your assistance in donning my armour before I leave for White Harbor.”
Her Queen and future wife walked past him, angrily turning her back on him before leaving. Missandei and Sansa following her closely behind. Jon did not hide his clear frustration at the situation and how it had not turned out the way he would have wished, he had underestimated Daenerys' good heart too much and it had cost him. Rubbing his face as he let out a growl in frustration, Jon shouted angrily at everyone.
“Out! Everybody out!”
Lords, advisors and the other Generals alike quickly emptied the room as they heard their King shout the order. All except for one.
“You were planning to go by yourself, weren't you?”
Jon turned to the person who had spoken to him, not expecting someone to defy an order from him. Though he didn't look so surprised when he realized it was Daenerys' Hand, Tyrion. Jon chuckled slightly having forgotten how perceptive the little Lannister could be when he wanted to, Jon told him.
"Sansa was right, we can't let the Night's King turn all those people in White Harbor. Despite all our efforts and the army, we've managed to gather, we could never get to him if he ever increases the numbers of his army like that.”
Approaching where the wine was, Lord Tyrion poured two goblets for each of them and handed one to him, Jon quickly drained the goblet, but the Lannister simply waved it in his hand before saying.
“Yes, that would not be at all convenient for us. And supposing you are more than aware that they could never evacuate over a hundred thousand people in time. What was it you were planning to do?”
Instead of answering him with words, Jon simply poured himself another glass of wine as he let the weight of what he had planned to do fall upon him. It didn't take long for the clever Lannister to tie up the dots, how hollow his gaze seemed and combined with the fact that he was now a dragon rider as well, he easily figured out his intentions. Tyrion finished his drink in one gulp in shock at the realization of Jon's planned actions. And couldn't help but ask him seriously.
“You could live with that?”
“I live with many things I regret, Lannister.” Jon replied.
“I think this is different. I know you Jon and I know what you've done, I'm sure you've killed many people and I'm sure you enjoyed killing Ramsey Bolton and the Frey’s, but I also know you forgave the sons of the Lords who betrayed you and you also forgave Walder Frey's daughters. You do not kill innocents; you are not a monster.”
"Perhaps I need to be one. After all, I have to kill one.”
It was the last thing Jon said before he left.

After Daenerys practically stormed out of the war room, Sansa followed close behind her along with her maid who went by the name of Missandei, if she remembered correctly. For her part, she understood Daenerys' stubbornness in trying to save all those people from what would surely be a horrible and painful death. But at the same time, she also understood Jon's caution.
If either of them or the dragons were to suffer some kind of harm or the gods forbid, die for this mission. It would be a huge loss for their side, from which it would likely be nearly impossible to recover. Both Jon and Daenerys were the absolute leaders of each of their factions, the northern soldiers, the riders of the Vale, the clansmen of the mountain of the Vale and the free people, all followed Jon alone. In the same way that the, Unsullied, Dothraki and the reinforcements the Tyrells and Martell’s had sent, followed only Daenerys. And apart from that, both were the only dragon riders in the world and that was their most powerful weapon against the army of the dead.
They could not afford to lose either of them. And though her advisors and even Jon himself had failed to dissuade her from pursuing this plan, Sansa had to try anyway. Despite the danger this could pose, she had just managed to form an unexpected, but very pleasant 'friendship' with the Queen. Who at the moment looked very angry, Sansa had never seen her this way before. No doubt it was a strange sight in her, always seeming so kind and composed. Although, it was true that she had heard about her bad temper she could have, Tyrion himself had confessed to her that it was not an easy task to advise a dragon.
“I can't believe he's actually willing to leave all those people to a certain death and do nothing.” Sansa heard Daenerys say with annoyance and indignation. “But no matter, if the King decides to do nothing, that's fine with me. After all, I'm used to doing things myself. Prepare me a cloak too, Missy. I'm sure I won't find any kind of warmth in the northern sky.”
The pretty, helpful dark-skinned girl nodded at her Queen's orders, quickly making her way to one of the large trunks where she kept Daenerys' garments.
Sansa took the moment to approach the indignant blonde and spoke.
“Do you really think this is the wise thing to do, Daenerys? Maybe you don't like to hear this, but haven't you given any thought to the fact that maybe Jon is right this time? This is a very dangerous mission and we can't afford to lose either of you."
“It's not about whether he's right or wrong, or about how dangerous it is. And believe me, I'm well aware of how dangerous it is, Sansa. But I don't plan to sit back and do nothing while all those people are slaughtered and brought back against their will to serve as mindless slaves for that monster. I conquered Kings Landing, I am the Queen of the seven kingdoms and the North is one of those seven kingdoms, I will fight and save my people.”
Letting out a defeated sigh, Sansa dropped the subject. She was more than sure that no matter what she said, it wouldn't make Daenerys back down from her decision. Perhaps instead of standing here trying to talk her out of her plan, she should go to Jon and convince him to join her, he couldn't let her go to White Harbor on her own. Surely it would be much better if the two of them went together. At least they could watch out for each other.
It was at these moments that she wished she could be like Daenerys. She had always been proud of being a Stark and her legacy, but she had to admit that there was something really special about being a Targaryen. To be able to ride on the back of a dragon and be able to join Jon and Daenerys in the skies, to be like Aegon the Conqueror and his sisters. And while it was a nice thought, it was something that was not possible.
Missandei finally finished selecting the proper clothing for her Queen and proceeded to move next to her, setting the clothes aside before quickly beginning to undress her. With a slight blush Sansa initially looked away, but it wasn't more than a couple of seconds before temptation overcame her and her eyes began to stray to the naked figure of Daenerys Targaryen.
All those beautiful thick furs the Queen wore, concealed a body that in her eyes Sansa could only describe as perfect and highly sexy. Despite being short, even for a woman. Daenerys more than made up for it in other areas, her long platinum hair falling to almost below her waist, almost covering her round heart-shaped ass. Her breasts, though not exaggeratedly large, were perfectly shaped and very perky, and were large enough to fill Jon's hands, and were decorated with pretty pink nipples.
Pitifully, she could not dazzle much of the Queen's nudity as Missandei quickly covered her in the new clothes. Daenerys was dressed in leather breeches, long black boots and a thick gambeson that Missandei put on her before she began to put on her new armor. It was the first time Sansa had seen her in her armor and she certainly looked like a warrior Queen. Surely her ancestor, Visenya Targaryen would have looked the same way. And the similarities were even greater, when Missandei finished dressing her and reached for a sword that Sansa had not seen before, it had the pommel of a dragon and when Daenerys unsheathed it to examine it, Sansa could see that it was made of Valyrian steel.
Satisfied with what she saw, Daenerys slipped it back into its sheath before strapping it to her belt. Daenerys was everything a Queen should be, strong and beautiful, powerful and gracious. Willing to do what she believed was right, even if it meant going against the King's orders. And for the first time at that kind of thought, Sansa didn't feel jealous, but wished she could come as close as possible to being like her.
No sooner had she finished that thought than the door opened abruptly without warning, causing the three women to turn toward it. They all saw Jon walk through the door, his gaze only seemed to be fixed on Daenerys, he kept his expression serious not wanting to show any emotion at the sight of Daenerys in her armor. On the other side, Daenerys decided to ignore him, clearly still angry with him.
Seeing this with slight disappointment, Jon turned to her and Missandei and spoke.
“I wish to speak to the Queen alone.”
Sansa quickly heeded him and began to walk away, but Missandei was reluctant to leave and turned to her Queen first and waited for her to tell her what to do.
“Thank you for your help, Missandei. You may leave now."
The helpful maid nodded and withdrew as well, but not before giving Jon a disappointed look as she passed him. Closing the door behind her, finally leaving both monarchs alone.
Approaching Daenerys, Jon said earnestly.
“You know I can't let you do this.”
Turning to him and giving him a challenging look, Daenerys replied.
“Are you planning to lock me in my room? Do you really think that because you are to be my husband you have the right to rule over me?”
“I just want you safe, Daenerys. Why can't you understand that? How do you expect me to react if you tell me you wish to go by yourself to face the army of the dead.”
“I don't want to face the armies of the dead, Jon. Much less the Night King. All I wish to do is save the people still in White Harbor while you plan on doing nothing." Daenerys finally reiterated again raising her gaze to him.
“Fucking hells, woman. Why do you have to be so stubborn about this.”
“Because we promised each other we would do things together. We were supposed to rule together, we were supposed to fight together, weren't we? Daenerys shouted back. “Because now it seems like you're the one who wants to give all the orders and I simply have to accept it. But I am not that kind of woman, Jon Snow. I wear armor too, one that you gave me yourself and I plan to use it to save my people, our people.”
“We can't save anyone if we die, Daenerys. This is a suicide mission; we have much to lose and almost nothing to gain.”
“It's the lives of thousands of people, Jon. Women, children, we can't leave them to their fate.” Moving closer to him, Daenerys leaned over him and asked one last time. “Come with me, help me save them. We may not be able to save them all, but we'll save the ones we can and that will be enough.”
Jon thought about whether to mention the fact that they couldn't let all those people be turned by the Night King. But with how far Daenerys was willing to go for those same people, he knew it would break her heart and she would never go along with the plan. Perhaps the best way to deal with this situation would be with her way and try to save as many people as possible. Even if that meant letting the Night King win this battle. Holding her pretty, pleading face, Jon he said.
“We'll go together.”
Daenerys almost jumped with happiness to hear him say that. Drawing him to her, she gave him a brief, but passionate kiss before saying.
“Get ready, I'll tell them to ready the horses.”
Jon watched her leave the room quickly before letting out a guilty sigh.
If she's happy, it can't be a bad decision, can it?”

After getting ready and putting on more suitable clothes to combat the cold northern skies. Jon rode with Daenerys to where the dragons were resting, it was harder than usual to make them obey. Apparently, they were not at all happy to be forced to fly in the middle of a storm, but as soon as they climbed onto their backs, the dragons obeyed and took flight towards White Harbor.
Unexpectedly, Viserion followed close behind. And Jon discovered that the blizzards were worse when you fly over them, he couldn't see more than a few inches in front of him and that made it take them longer than it should have taken them to reach White Harbor. When they finally spotted New Castle in the distance, Jon and Daenerys landed outside the castle. Surprising all the people as they watched the arrival of the dragons and saw the King and Queen descending from them.
They did not have to shout any orders, as the soldiers present quickly opened the doors for them. Entering the castle, Daenerys was horrified to see how overcrowded it was, they had practically sent all the refugees here. Everywhere she looked there were people, from the sick, to the wounded, to the elderly, to women and children.
Observing the same scene as Daenerys, Jon quickly approached one of the soldiers standing there and quickly said.
“Tell them to prepare all the boats they have, empty them and throw out anything that won't fit or make room and start filling them with people. We need to get all these people out of here, now!”
The soldier nodded awkwardly as he ran off shouting orders to the other soldiers standing there.
Turning back to Daenerys, he said.
“We need to talk to Lord Manderly and explain the situation. Then we will fly over the surroundings in search of the army of the dead, they could be upon us at any moment."
“You go, I'm going to help them evacuate.”
“What?” Jon asked him.
“Look around you, Jon. There are too many people here, we need to evacuate as many as possible.” As soon as she said that, Jon looked around as the mood began to change in the castle. It wouldn't be long before everyone would learn of the threat that was headed their way and despair and fear would take over the castle. “I'm sure Drogon can easily carry a dozen children and their mothers.”
Without another word, Daenerys quickly left and approached one of the guards who was in charge of moving the people to help her with her plan. Jon left her to do what she thought was best while he headed inside the castle to speak with Lord Manderly.
The Lord of New Castle, Wyman Manderly looked at him with a heavy, grim look as he finished listening to the news he brought, it took several seconds before the Lord finally answered him.
“I appreciate you coming all this way with your dragons to help us, my King.”
“I did not come here to fight, my Lord. We are here to try to evacuate the city and you should not thank me, it was the Queen who insisted on coming to help you.” Jon explained, he didn't deserve any gratitude.
The fat old Lord nodded slowly and spoke.
“Please give my thanks to the Queen. Tell her that, thanks to her, my children and grandchildren can be on one of those boats now.”
Jon nodded before asking her.
“What about you, my Lord?”
The old Lord's mood seemed to change completely, as he let out a raucous laugh and said humorously. “No, it would take up too much room on the ship and it would take hours to move me to one of them.” His mood changed to a more serious one before indicating to him. "No, fill those boats with the women and children and younglings. Take the ones really worth saving.”
Jon accepted the Lord of White Harbor's last wish and gave him a parting nod before leaving. Jon returned to Rhaegal and quickly climbed aboard to explore the surrounding area. For nearly an hour Jon meticulously patrolled the entire northern part of White Harbor in search of the army of the dead, but fortunately it seemed they were still nowhere nearby.
Returning to White Harbor he saw Daenerys hoisting as many people as possible onto Drogon before taking flight. The castle already seemed to have fallen into barely controlled despair. The few remaining guards were barely managing to control the immense number of people pleading in masse for their children or partners to be taken on one of the ships.
Since the army of the dead still did not seem to be near, Jon decided to help. Approaching one of the guards, he indicated that he would also take people on his dragon.

Jon had no sooner landed back in New Castle from his last trip than he was unexpectedly interrupted by a startled raven who sat on his shoulder and began to scream.
“Death, Death, Death.”
Jon quickly turned his gaze northward and quickly ordered Rhaegal to take flight. He didn't have to fly more than five minutes to the horizon before he could see the army of the dead marching towards the castle.
They are finally here. And they had only managed to evacuate half of the people in White Harbor.
Hurrying back to the castle, Rhaegal perched on the walls of New Castle and shouted to the few soldiers still left guarding the walls.
“Take up your positions, seal the gate and prepare to fight!”
The soldiers quickly did as he asked and Jon ordered Rhaegal once more to fly, this time towards Daenerys. Finding her still trying to get as many children as she could onto Drogon, Jon shouted to her.
“You need to take as many as you can and get back to Winterfell.”
“There are still too many lefts.” His Queen told him, but Jon quickly responded by saying.
“We don't have any more time. They are here, Dany.”
The Targaryen Queen had to swallow her sadness and despair at the sight of all the people still left and asked him.
“What do you plan to do?”
Jon surveyed his surroundings and saw that the castle had fallen into complete chaos, people were climbing over boats and mothers were stretching out their children to them as they begged them to take them. After all he had done to try to save all the people, Jon could no longer go through with his original plan. So, turning his gaze to Daenerys, he said.
“I will help defend the castle; I will give them as much time as possible until the last ship leaves.”
Sure enough, Daenerys quickly went along with his plan by telling him.
“I'll help you; two dragons are better than one.”
But this time, Jon would let her have her way and didn't hesitate to shout back.
“No! Definitely no. We already risked too much coming here, if we both fall now all hope will be lost.”
“I'm not going back without you, Jon.”
“You won't. I promised, remember?” Jon told her, giving her a calming, confident smile. Although, he didn't feel that way at all.
Daenerys, finally nodded at that and took to the skies carrying the last group of people on top of Drogon. Jon turned his gaze back to the walls and flying towards them, he could now see the dead beginning to run towards them. Turning to his men, he could see that most of them seemed relieved to see him there with them while the rest turned their gaze to where Daenerys had flown, as if they expected her to join them as well. But Jon drew their attention back to what was important before shouting to them.
“Ready arrows, you will fire on my signal!”
The soldiers on the walls, set fire to their arrows and raised them to the sky, waiting for his command.
“Release!”
Countless flaming arrows soared into the skies until they fell back down and embedded themselves in the chests of dozens of wights. But discouragingly for him and his men, for every wight that fell, two more were more than ready to take their place. But Jon ordered them to start firing again anyway and not to stop. Noting that the army of the dead was almost upon them, Jon ordered Rhaegal to fly once more and rising above the endless ranks of undead, Jon commanded his dragon as he said.
“Dracarys.”
Rhaegal opened his great maw and let out an incandescent trail of flame that reduced the decaying corpses to ashes. Jon watched with great excitement as the wights were totally vulnerable to his dragon, but as powerful as Rhaegal's flames were, he could not cover the full extent of the Night King's army. With several managing to dodge the flames of his dragon and headed to attack the castle, but fortunately for him. He watched as Viserion joining his brother in battle and flying overhead at great speed unleashed his flames on the wights melting them as effectively as Rhaegal.
Maybe there would be hope, maybe they could defend the city. Jon thought encouragingly before attacking again.

The whole time Jon was raining fire on the armies of the dead, he never stopped looking for the Night King. Maybe he really could end it all right here and now. But being so focused on his goal, he didn't pay attention to the rest and underestimated what the wights were capable of, especially the giants that had been revived. For one of them raised one of his huge bows and fired a man-sized arrow at Rhaegal.
The arrow hit with enormous force against the side of his dragon, causing him to cry out in pain and lose his balance, starting to plummet. Jon tried to control his fall, but in vain. Both rider and dragon crashed to the ground, Rhaegal hitting the ground hard and Jon shot off his back, rolling a couple of meters as well. Fortunately, the snow was thick enough to soften his fall as well as that of his dragon.
Getting to his feet, Jon quickly approached Rhaegal, who was still roaring angrily at the sight of the huge bolt embedded in his wing. Reaching down and grabbing the bolt with both hands, Jon pulled hard until it finally came out, Rhaegal of course roared painfully throughout the process. Analyzing the wound and the area where it had impacted, Jon unfortunately concluded that Rhaegal would not be able to fly until he recovered. But that was not the worst of it.
For no sooner had he removed the bolt from Rhaegal's wing than he heard another roar of pain, this time much more strident than the one Rhaegal had let out when he was hit and this one did not come from his dragon. Lifting his gaze, he saw Viserion plummet, but this one had not been hit with a conventional arrow. Jon could notice the long ice spear protruding from its side, this one had no doubt stuck much deeper into the dragon, leaving a huge trail of blood in its wake.
The large and beautiful animal cried throughout its fall until finally crashing hard into the ground, only unlike Rhaegal, this one did not get up. Turning his gaze, Jon desperately searched for the one responsible and it didn't take him long to find him. Finally, he could see the Night King, surrounded by his white walkers and noticing that they were carrying more ice spears with them.
Thinking quickly what to do, Jon deduced that there was no way to escape. At least, not without leaving Rhaegal to certain death and there was no way he was going to do that. So mentally apologizing to Dany, Jon unsheathed his sword and approached to meet the White Walkers and the Night King. Not hesitating for a second to stand between them and his dragon, Jon would not abandon Rhaegal. Even though it might mean his death.
The first to approach him were the white walkers. And though Jon had killed one before, it was no easy task. And even though he had Longclaw on his side and knew he could kill them with it, the walkers possessed strength greater than that of a man and no doubt, this time they would not underestimate him.
Jon was the one to strike first, his sword producing a loud, sharp sound as it impacted against the walker's ice blade. Seeing himself clearly outnumbered, Jon knew he had to finish them off quickly or he would have no chance of survival. Fortunately, Jon had prepared for this moment, he hadn't stopped training and preparing for a day. Pushing his strength, endurance and speed to the limit of what a human being could achieve, if there was anyone who could take on the white walkers who also possessed supernatural strength and agility, it would be him.
And another thing he had in his favor, was that Jon had not only trained his body, but also his skill with a sword. And that was something the walkers didn't have. So, taking advantage more of his technique and speed than his strength, Jon easily overcame the first walker and hit it with his sword, reducing it to thousands of little pieces of ice. But he didn't have much time to rest or celebrate as quickly two white walkers advanced at the same time towards him.
This time, it was not easy at all. For the walkers seemed to be perfectly synchronized, covering each other and attacking at the same time. Jon was barely able to dodge the attacks and almost lost his head more than a couple of times, but pulling himself together, he pulled out the dragon glass blade he had strapped to his waist and prepared to face them again. Jon used Longclaw to fend off the attacks, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. When both ice wights decided to attack at the same time, Jon blocked both attacks with his sword and finally seeing an opening, he stretched out his arm and plunged the dagger deep into the heart of one, making it explode into thousands of pieces. Now in equal numbers, Jon lunged at the other walker and overpowered it much more easily.
Jon breathed heavily at the effort he had made in defeating two white walkers at the same time, but quickly got into position to face the rest. But unexpectedly they simply stood still in place, Jon was ready to launch himself at them, but they stepped aside, to let the Night King pass, who advanced towards him until he stopped a few meters in front of him.
He didn't try to attack him directly, he just stood there, as if he was analyzing and measuring him. But Jon didn't have to think about it much and having the Night King in front of him, he wouldn't waste this opportunity, if he could defeat him, everything would be over. Running towards him, Jon attacked him with every intention of separating his icy head from his body, but the Night King easily dodged his attack by moving aside. His sword ended up stuck in the ground, but without giving up he picked it up again and began a series of swift and accurate attacks, which also had no success in connecting with the Night King's body.
Jon grunted in frustration at that, he had never fought against someone like that, it seemed that he was simply playing with him. Dodging his blows effortlessly, not even deigning to unsheathe the sword strapped to his back. Shouting angrily, Jon attacked again and this time, the Night King finally decided to strike, Jon never had a chance to even block or brace for impact.
With only his bare hands, the Night King punched him so hard in the stomach that he stopped dead in his tracks, lowering his arms and dropping his weapons his only reaction was to hold his stomach as he fell to his knees and threw up blood and bile. The blow was so devastating that it sank the breastplate of his armor and he felt as if it had broken almost all of his ribs.
The Night King stood in front of him as he looked down at him and although Jon tried to pick up his sword again and fight, he couldn't even stand up. Seeing this, the Night King held him by his hair and struck him again, this time in the face. The force with which he punched him would have been strong enough to take an ordinary man's head off, but Jon could barely manage to stay conscious, but without any chance of defending himself.
Raising his gaze defiantly to the heavens, the Night King and opened his mouth and let out a grim and horrifying sound like ice when it shifts and cracks.
ᛁᛊ ᚦᛁᛊ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚾᛖ ᛁᛟᚢ×ᚱᛖ ᛊᛖᚾᛞᛁᛜ ᛏᛟ ᚲᛁᛚᛚ ᛗᛖ? ᛏᚺᛁᛊ ᛁᛊ ᚦᛖ ᛚᛁᚷᚺᛏ ᛒᚱᛁᛜᛖᚱ?
Jon once again tried to reach for his sword, this time barely making it, but he was too weakened to really present a threat to the Night King. And when he tried to swing it weakly at him, he simply took it from his hands and pierced it straight through his chest, cutting through his armor and body like butter.
Before he completely lost consciousness, Jon managed to hear the horrified scream of a woman in the distance. It made him think of Dany and how he had failed her, how he had failed everyone.

Notes:
I know some of you are anxious for the 'main plot' to begin, but I'm taking this opportunity to write my version of how the long night would have gone. Since the show didn't do it justice at all. So I ask you to bear with me, the Smut will come, I assure you that Jon will sleep with all the ladies of the Kingdom until he gets them pregnant. So don't worry.

Shit if Jon is dead mellisandre could still resurrect him , glad to see sansa beging to have feeling for dany , ah shit Viserion still died ? I hope Rheagal will live , don't worry i will wait for the smut, and you are right to fix season 8

Great update, like you said in past lives, it’s not always about the smut, the story is important too and S8 had neither. Glad to see Dany and Sansa getting along as they should have, sad about viserion though.
