Oh, I can't wait to see the finished version! Blackbird wringing her hands is so in character for her, and the final panel is just a *perfect* transformation sequence. Bravo! (Is Duran throwing up his last meal in that last stage?)

This is oddly refreshing. I think the classic take of transformation being fun and enjoyable (or even sexual) is neat, but common; imagining how transformation could be uncomfortable and overwhelming is a concept that doesn't get investigated enough.
