[Evening — 5th Street, Kuoh]
{Issei Hyoudou}
It isn't a dream!
It isn't a dream!
Oh, this is so real!
I could barely stop myself from grinning like an idiot.
The multiple bruises on my cheek from pinching myself and the photo on my phone were proof that what I went through was very real.
The pretty lady with blue hair wasn't a dream. She was real, and she really asked me out on a date!
An older woman!
She just asked me out on a date!
I couldn't stop myself, and I did grin like an idiot as I walked along the footpath with her photo in my hands.
Long blue hair, pretty eyes, which I don't even care if they are yellow contacts—they are so pretty.
And most importantly!
That body! I have never seen such an erotic body! Even with that tight jacket squeezing those beautiful boobs, she couldn't hide the sheer size.
I had to cover my lips with my palm to avoid appearing like a creep while on the road.
B-But it doesn't matter!
I scored a date with a mature, beautiful woman!
Imagine the look on Matsuda and Motohama’s faces when they see my arms wrapped around that beautiful lady.
No.
I stopped myself from calling her ‘lady.’
She had given me her name.
It's Maya Tanaka.
A beautiful name for a beautiful woman.
And I will have this beautiful woman next to me on our date.
Oh, I should get dressed in some nice clothes and maybe even get a haircut.
I moved to my house, jumping around, giggling like an idiot thinking of the lady and her boobs.
Maya.
Maya and her boobs!
But that happiness didn't last too long.
Why?
Because I just laid my eyes on someone unlucky.
Ugh! Why is he there?
“Oh, is that Issei?”
Shit.
He saw me!
“H-Hey, Reo.”
This guy always ruins things for me.
Last time he called the student council on me, Matsuda, and Motohama as we were basking in the glory of the beautiful boobs of the Kendo club.
Then he made me look like a fool during the soccer match. No matter how hard I tried, people only noticed him.
Not to mention he also took away my moment to shine when I was trying to help Asia, the nun girl.
It's always trouble with him.
“What are you doing here?” he asked, sipping on iced coffee.
It wasn't even that hot, no, it actually felt cold. Why is he drinking iced coffee?
He really is weird, isn't he?
“It's pretty late, and I don't think your house is in the direction you were coming from.”
Why is he so pushy?
“I could ask you the same thing.” I fought back, “It's pretty late for you too, isn't it?”
Surprisingly, he laughed.
“Fair play,” he said. “But I am here to clear my mind of the pressure of the exam that is coming.”
Ugh… See, he is spreading his worries to me too.
Exams are coming for me too, and I was trying not to worry about them.
“I…” I wondered if I should even mention meeting Maya. I shouldn't, right? “I was out to play some games at the arcade. Unfortunately, I ran out of money.”
“Ah,” he nodded, somewhat agreeing with my words. “Happens. Arcades are quite addictive. I don't even remember how much I wasted on them.”
Heh.
I didn't know he went to arcades.
To be fair, I don't know much about him. He has always been so reserved that I wouldn't be surprised if others felt the same.
He barely hangs out with others.
But now, he seems rather friendly with people and easily hangs out with others.
I wonder what changed?
But then his eyes fell on my phone.
Big mistake.
I should have turned the screen off.
“Issei.” His face immediately soured, turning into a frown. “Don't tell me you have been stalking random women.”
He stared at me with a disappointed face. “I thought you changed your habits. Don't tell me you are still acting like a creep and a pervert even outside school.”
“What?”
Wait.
I looked at the photo again, and it was not the one that I took with her. I had swiped to the one that she wanted to appear natural in—a candid picture, so to speak.
So, it looked like I took a picture without asking her. And a picture where her breasts were in focus.
“No, no, no!” No matter what, I wasn't a creep.
Right?
“It's not what you think!”
His expression only worsened. “Oh, pray tell how it is not what I think? Last time, you were ogling at the girls of the Kendo club changing clothes. And back then, I had to report you to the student council for perverted actions.”
His eyes lowered to my phone again, “Don't make me report you to the cops this time around, Issei.”
“No, please listen.”
This was bad.
He stood by his words. And I did not doubt for a second that he wouldn't report me to the police.
He was too strict and would act like the most upright citizen with such things.
That's why he was no fun, and we could never be friends.
“She isn't what you think. I wasn't stalking!”
“Oh, then please do explain.” He said, throwing the empty coffee can into the bin nearby. “Who is she, and why do you have a picture of her?”
I had no choice but to tell him about it.
I didn't want to be reported and lose my date with Maya.
“This… This is my girlfriend!” She wasn't my girlfriend yet, she just asked for a date. But she liked me, so it was only until the date that we weren't official.
His face turned from disappointed to amused.
“Girlfriend?” He raised an eyebrow, walking closer and standing just a little away from me. “You expect me to believe such an obvious lie?”
“No, it's the truth!” I was desperate. “Look at this!”
I had to pull out the picture that we took together, my arm wrapped around her, and she being close to me.
“You…” His expression instantly turned to surprise. “Is this real?”
“It is!” I showed him the other pictures too. “She asked me out on a date! And we are going this Saturday.”
“How…” He paused, “No, why did she even think it was a good idea to choose you?”
“What?” His words annoyed me a little.
“No, I mean… it's just a little difficult for me to believe you. She seemed older than you. Are you sure that you are not blackmailing her or anything?”
What the fuck does he think I am?
A criminal?
“You know what?” I was pissed at his words, and I had to prove that I wasn't blackmailing her either. “You can ask her directly this Saturday. What do you say?”
“Saturday…” His eyebrows furrowed, “I cannot.”
“Why not?” I asked. Was he backing off now? No, after what he said, I was going to push it in his face. I will make Maya say that she likes me in front of him to embarrass him.
“I have a date this Saturday too.”
Huh? He has a date?
No, the bigger question is… he has a girlfriend?
Given his personality and his loner ways, I thought he would never find a girlfriend.
Guess I was wrong.
Wait, no. I wasn't going to back off now.
I am going to embarrass him.
Maya is very pretty and her boobs are to die for. I will make him jealous because no matter what, his girlfriend cannot compare to Maya, right?
“How about this.” I thought of a great idea. “How about a double date? You get to meet Maya and she tells you that I am not a creep, and we get to know each other better. Maybe you will not see me as a creep then.”
I didn't care about how he viewed me; at this point, I just wanted to see him embarrassed.
“That…”
“Backing off now?” I gave a fake chuckle. “Are you lying about having a girlfriend after saying that to me?”
“Huh, what? No.” He shook his head. “I don't mind. I will just have to ask her if she is fine with this plan.”
Crap.
I didn't think of consulting Maya first.
This… wouldn't be a problem, right?
She wouldn't mind, right?
Yeah, she is cool. She definitely won't mind.
“But if she agrees… then fine.” He sighed, “We can go on a double date because I still don't believe you.”
This fucker.
“Fine! Then a double date it is!”
He is going to be so jealous once he sees Maya!
He shrugged, “Alright.”
However… Why do I have a weird feeling about this?
Like I made a mistake or something?
Eh, it's probably nothing.
But what is certain is that Reo Takeda will be embarrassed this Saturday!
…
…
[Unknown Location]
“Sir, as you asked, I have collected the documents you required.”
The soft and pleasing voice of a woman echoed in the closed room, roaming around it before reaching the man.
The man sat on a large chair, unamused and seemingly tired, with legs placed on the table.
“Ugh, why is there so much trouble lately?”
He rubbed his temples before extending his hand for the papers.
“The hierarchy is a mess as of late, and unless you fix it, it will remain the same.”
Hearing the woman, he sighed again.
“So you are saying I will have to gather everyone and hold another large meeting?”
“Pretty much.” The woman nodded, which made the man even more tired.
“That's quite a lot of work.” He shook his head, “I will think about it later. It's easier to just deal with these individuals for now.”
“Not a long-term solution, sir. It will only worsen your later worries.” The woman didn't seem too pleased with his way of handling things.
But the man didn't pay much attention.
“That’s a worry for future me. At the moment, I only care about these children.”
He went through the document, “Ah… just what kind of trouble has this child gotten herself into?”
He was both annoyed and amused. “And she had also taken her little friends with her.”
“Dohnaseek, Mittelt, and Kalawarner are all following Raynare.” The woman was frowning, looking at the man. “It’s because you gave them too much freedom that they have gone deep into Kuoh, the devil territory.”
“Wait…” This instantly awakened the man, “Kuoh? The place that the Gremory and Sitri heiresses are handling?”
“Exactly.”
“This…” The man finally looked serious. “This could be messy.”
“That’s why I am telling you to look into the matter.” The woman sighed, “But you don’t seem interested.”
For a while, the man stayed unmoving at his place. But then he looked at the woman.
“Maybe I will have to look into it now.”
“Do you want me to send someone after them?” She asked, but the man instantly declined.
“Kuoh is devil territory; sending more Fallens could cause a bad situation.” He thought about it. “Don't worry, I will look into it. And possibly send someone not a Fallen to deal with it.”
“You don’t mean…” The woman was surprised.
“Yeah, him.” As for the man, he was grinning. “Who else but a devil to deal with the devils?”
“This could become messy.” The woman said.
“Or entertaining.” The man countered. “No matter the outcome, you know that it will be interesting.”
“That…”
That was something that the woman couldn't deny.
