Marvel: King of Mythology Chapter 28

[Queens, NYC]
Oh this is going to be so weird.
Enjoying the night wind, I wondered.
“Can I even make it work?”
Only one way to find out.
‘System, use Essence of Medea and equip the Mask of Loki.’
<<Affirmative!>>
<<Host has equipped Medea’s Essence>>
<<Essence Duration Left: 5 Hours 59 Minutes>>
<<Host has equipped Mask of Loki>>
<<Equipment Duration Left: 7 Hours 59 Minutes>>
But now comes the most important part.
“How do I even go on about this?”
Ah, fuck it!
Medea, a beauty that could entice anyone irrespective of gender.
Brown hair, a face without imperfections, eyes that could make a person drown in.
An ethereal beauty.
Yet a beauty that was also rebellious.
And that was the best I could do.
Staring at the reflective glass at the top, I was shaken up by my own appearance.
“This is… me?”
Fuck, even my voice was pretty.
But this was Medea.
This was my interpretation of Medea.
A flawless yet rebellious beauty.
But this was all pointless without powers. And I had researched extensively to figure out her powers and weaknesses.
Sadly there wasn’t much on Medea.
“That doesn’t mean I am entirely clueless though.”
Let's do this.
“Right… there.”
I fixed my gaze on another building top and relaxed my mind.
It was always nerve-racking to try out skills and spells that these Essence possessed. With just super strength or speed it was far easier. You just kick, punch and run.
But with these skills you have to actively imagine and understand them.
The skills like telekinesis and blood manipulation required my utmost focus and an even greater imagination.
Not simple imagination, but one where you have to force your brain to make it believe that it was possible.
Making spears of blood was illogical, but since I believed I could manipulate blood and with that creating a spear wasn’t impossible.
That was the imagination that was required.
One where you believed in yourself.
“Work…”
And this was another one of them.
“H-Huh?”
It worked?
“I am… on the other building.”
A sense of joy took over me as I realized that I was not on top of the previous skyscraper, but it was the building I was staring it.
“Fuck! I teleported!”
It sounded ridiculously funny cursing and acting like a savage with the appearance of a woman, but that was not something to worry about.
It was only a disguise that the others would see.
I was still Michael Moore.
“But this is amazing.”
It was ridiculous that I could teleport. And I did not even know the limits. Was there a limit?
Of course, I had no idea because even this ability was something I learnt with a ridiculous amount of research.
Now, there were two more abilities that I had.
One was prophecy, which I had no clue how to even activate.
And the other being Jinxes and Hexes.
For the latter, it is pretty easy –imagining a form of misfortune onto someone or something while trying to access your magic.
As for Prophecy…
How did I do this?
She wasn’t that grand of a prophet, so it will be more like a minor skill. And so, I had absolutely no clue how to go on about it.
I could definitely not see what might happen tomorrow because then that will be future sight and not prophecy.
“I’ll figure something out.”
But for now, let’s try the other skills.
Jinxes and Hexes.
“But where do I try this on?”
Wait, no.
What do I even mean?
I am in NYC, this place is riddled with crime. All I have to do is look around a little and…
*Boom!*
And I just found my target.
…
…
[[Frank Castle, ‘The Punisher’]]
For two whole nights, Frank had been chasing after a hitman responsible for the death of fourteen children.
Children that were burnt alive inside of a school bus.
Why?
Because a certain mercenary was paid to kill the driver of the school bus and the mercenary thought it would be better to bomb the bus to not draw attention specifically to the driver.
“Give up, Bullseye.”
Punisher felt no emotion in hunting down villains.
Villains to him were nothing but scum of society, beings that caused pain and suffering of the innocents.
“Shut up, you freak!”
An arrow shot at the Punisher, but the man dodged it with extreme ease.
“Fourteen children,” Frank said, uncaring of the arrow that exploded –causing the ground to freeze. “That's the blood you shed in one day.”
He smashed the ice that crept up his feet.
“But that isn’t the only life you have ruined.” Punisher shot towards the villain, but unlike him –Bullseye wasn’t that lucky.
The bullet grazed the villain’s arm, causing blood to gush out.
“Ugh!”
“You ruined the lives of fourteen families.”
Bullets flew at the villain and if not for his athleticism, he would have been dead by now.
But luckily for him, his backup just arrived.
“Is that all you are capable of, Bullseye?”
“Shit!” Punisher had to jump to the side as he noticed a grenade roll under his feet.
“He isn’t even that strong.” The new man with a skull mask, laughed. “You had been having trouble with this cunt?”
“Focus, Crossbones.” Another man that shot at the Punisher –hurting the man’s thigh, said. “He is not an enemy you can take lightly.”
“Hah! You think that gun can take three of us?”
‘Fuck, I was careless!’ Punisher, who barely managed to drag himself out of the destruction groaned. ‘One inch to the side and that bullet would have hit my knee instead.’
He was lucky that it hit his thigh instead of the knee or it might have been the end for him. After all, losing his leg was not something he could afford.
Biting through the pain, he stood up –the blood still pouring out of his thigh.
“Crossbones, Paladin and Bullseye.” Punisher gritted his teeth, “Three criminals at one place.”
Despite the pain, he still showed a smile. “That just makes my job easier.”
It wasn’t good. But he wasn’t going to show that.
He was going to face these three villains even if it meant that was the last thing he did.
There was a saying that if you killed a murderer, the number of murderers remained the same.
‘Then just kill more than one murderer.’
That was the Punisher’s motto, and with that, he shot towards the three mercenaries –causing them to immediately jump aside.
“Fucking freak!” Bullseye yelled, “How is he still standing with a fucking bullet hole on his thigh!”
“Shut up and shoot!” Crossbones yelled back, taking out his automatic machine gun.
Each of the three villains had their weapon –each pointed at the Punisher.
‘Is that it?’ The Punisher gritted his teeth, the bullet on his leg making it near impossible for him to dodge three villains. ‘Do I have to suicide bomb this?’
He wasn’t afraid. If he was able to kill three criminals with his sacrifice, he was willing to throw himself at them with the bombs he had implanted inside his suit.
“Shoot!”
But he didn't have to.
*Boom!*
“Ugh!”
“Ahhh!”
“*Whistle* So, that’s how hexes work.”
He didn't have to die today.
Why?
“That ain’t too bad.”
Because a certain ‘woman’ came to his rescue.
