Xavier and Lilah had been dating for a few weeks, and she had decided it was time to “show him off” to her friends. He’d been nervous, but so far he felt like he was making a good impression. He sat chatting with a small group while Lilah was on the couch across the room whispering and giggling with two other girls.
He kept stealing glances at her, making sure she was having fun and hoping for some sign he was doing well.
He glanced again, and this time she caught his eye and smiled. He smiled back, reassured that she was happy.
Lilah tilted her head slightly, motioning for Xavier to join her. He was across the room in an instant, sitting on the couch with her arms around him.
One of her friends giggled. “Wow, Xavier, she’s already got you trained to come when called?” the girl teased.
He blushed. Lilah was running her fingers through his hair.
“I told you he was a good one, Jen,” Lilah answered. She kissed his cheek gently and he melted into her touch. "He's very well trained."
Xavier sat up at that and turned to face Lilah. “Hey now, I’m not sure I’d say I’ve been trained.”
“Oh?” she asked, tucking her hair behind her ear.
Xavier caught sight of her earring and felt his mind getting foggy. He knew he should be responding, but he was coming up blank.
Blank. He couldn’t take his eye off the sparkling gem in her ear.
Blank.
She told him to kneel, and he obeyed without hesitation.
“Good boy,” she purred.
He felt a warm glow of pleasure.
She was praising him now, telling him how pleased she was with him, how well trained he was, how proud she was to show him off.
He felt good. He was proud that she was pleased, pleased that she was proud. He was grateful to be so well trained. He couldn’t remember why he had objected before. He wanted her to show him off. He wanted her to be proud of him.
He was speaking now, repeating things for her. He was her well trained pet. He belonged to her. He was happy to obey.

His head spun as he felt a surge of pride and pleasure. It felt so good to be her good boy.

He was her well trained pet. He wanted her to show him off. He wanted her to be proud of him.
She was counting, and the next thing he knew he was on the couch, back in her arms. A few people were staring at him, smirking. He thought he must have dozed off.
Lilah ran her fingers through his hair. “I told you, Jen,” she was saying, “he’s very well trained. Isn’t that right, Xavier?”
“I am your well trained pet,” he answered.
“Good boy.”
