[Speed Drawing] Picnic
🕑 Added 2022-11-21 02:32:07 +0000 UTCLately (and by 'lately' I mean all of 2022), I've been suffering from near-constant burnout, and for the life of me I couldn't figure why. Granted it feels obvious now, but I haven't been drawing for the love of drawing any more. Every time I opened up the canvas for the last year, I felt like I had to draw only a specific idea in my head, mostly due to that I have a lot of specific ideas in my head that I want to get out and share. However, the technical side of applying hand to image had been lost in the rigor of planning, I tried forcing myself to create, but it only further stiffened my fingers, and my passion shriveled. With IRL work and bills becoming more stressful, I want to re-teach myself drawing for the love of drawing, and so I did this little speedart after I got off work today.
And I'm happy with it. No perfectionism, no zooming into the little details and over polishing. Just strokes with little thinking.
