Upcoming BSC Shows

This week I'll be doing the Patreon show for the next installment of the Ehrman series. It's about Papias, but Bart Ehrman really doesn't give us much on Papias to work with, so it'll be my responsibility to inject sufficient Papias into the Papias show. But since he essentially takes the maximilist position on Papias, my plan for the show is to include a thrashing of the (similarly conservative) Monte Shanks book.
Last time, I said that the next main show release will be one topic, covered in two episodes. The good news is that those shows are nearing completion. The indifferent news is that somewhere along the line, they morphed into a trilogy. I hope to begin recording these directly after the Papias program. These shows are about Montanism, which is a topic that I feel not only highlights the lateness of the NT, but the extreme "suddenness" with which the Catholic institutions of Irenaeus' time abruptly appear, in a brief window from about 170 to 180. And I think that the episodes go a long way toward demonstrating that, and I thank you for your continued support.
