So my understanding is that 40K is fanatically religious. The word of the priests is law. How many people are foaming at the mouth at Lee for rewording doctrine? I mean after 10 thousand years of all but outlawing independent thought has to mean they wanted the mystique. After Lee reframed them to powerful cowards that throw temper tantrums there has to be a not insignificant percentage of the ship that wants to burn him at the stake.

Ship wide every guardsman, tech priest and menial just witnessed the true death of daemons. Their faith is ironclad now. As far as theyre concerned they just got front row seats to a Saint stretching their legs and turbo fuckin chaos in not the fun way. Especially since all daemons are miniscule parts of the gods, that's permanent dmg to nurgle however small

Oh boy, I think that last part was a mistake on lee's part. ANY public knowledge of the big 4 reality tumors has historically been an awful idea. Seeing as they are memetic infohazzards. As much as one symbol of khorneflakes in a family house who didnt even know anything about what it meant was enough to damn a planet to a full blown deamon invasion after all.

Wonderful explanation of the Four Cowards. The only thing that put me off is him saying 'because chaos' so many times. It's true each time but saying over and over makes it lose impact and meaning.
