Retribution is submitted and will be released 2/2 2023!
🕑 Added 2021-04-20 12:26:56 +0000 UTCI got enough questions about this that I realized I might as well make a proper post about it.
First, some facts. I am working a full time (40h week) day job, so this is done in my spare time. I have also had health issues and other real life problems last year and a half which has slowed the pace some (not to mention general 2020 shenanigans). Unfortunately the plant I'm working in is closing (the production moving to India/France in 2023), so there will be some chaos and adjustments.
Luckily I have submitted now! It is in CoG's hands, and the preliminary release date is 2 February 2023
2022 20th October
[DONE] The game is finished, all chapters and epilogues are written. The closed alpha is around 1 360 000 words, so it's around three times as large as the last one. The average playthrough is around 94 000 - 98 000 words but can vary greatly. (this is what you can explore in the VIP section here on Patreon).
[DONE] Cover, graphic and text assets for release.
[DONE] Bug fixing and playtesting, additional content and variables. (mostly done, but new ones are always discovered)
[DONE] Editing, rewrites, copyediting, spelling and grammar. This is where the story actually gets good, and also even longer... It is past 1,4 million words now.
[DONE] Final Beta testing with a new testing group. Save system and achievements added. Final bug and language fix.
[DONE] Submitting the finished game to Hosted Games.
[PENDING] Hosted Games editors makes the game ready for release on various platforms and systems.

Honestly, it's already amazing how much work you manage to get done while having a full-time job and all the responsibilities of everyday life. Thank you so much for all the work and love you put into this. The least all of us can do is wait patiently for the game release.
