Oblivious Idiots - Chapter 2

The winds rushed through her hair as Harry zoomed past her, looking for the snitch.
It was a sunny day in the month of May, as the final quidditch match of the year was taking place between Gryffindor and Slytherin. The championship was on line, with Gryffindor chasing their fourth title in a row while Slytherin was trying their best to finally break their streak.
And among the loudly cheering crowd was Hermione, wearing a red and gold scarf, showing her support for her house. She may have never liked quidditch, as she still doesn't know why someone could like this sport so much, which includes such high risks.
But she loved her best friend, and for Harry, she had always come down to support him, just like she was doing right now as she chanted Harry's name along with the crowd.
It's been five months since that day when Harry and she almost kissed, and she still feels a bit resentful to headmistress McGonagall for interrupting the moment she had been waiting for her all her life.
Since then, in the previous months, they had both become busier than before, being the head boy and head girl, and their responsibilities had doubled, mainly because of the bullying incident.
McGonagall has implemented tighter rules and harsher punishments for whoever tries to do such a disgusting thing again.
She had given both of them more duties and checks to be done to maintain the peace between the two houses.
And Harry and Hermione had taken this responsibility seriously and given everything they had, which was why they both didn't even have any time left in their day as both of them had head duties and, in the case of Harry, the responsibilities of being the Gryffindor quidditch captain.
Their daily homework meetings had also become weekly, which gave Hermione much less time to spend with Harry alone and made it much harder to make her seduction mission successful.
But when they did spend time alone, something had changed between them since that night. Both of them have become much more comfortable in the other company and have started wearing less clothes around each other.
It seemed that both of them liked how the other stared at their bodies and tried every chance to show off in front of each other. She was brought out of her thoughts by an elbow to her arm. Rubbing her sore arm, she looked to her left and at the smirking Daphne.
"What?" she asked irritatingly.
"Don't zone out like that, especially when Harry is playing; he might feel bad if he knows you are lost in your thoughts rather than watching him play," Daphne playfully said.
Hermione huffed, "I am watching." She said while looking at Harry flying through the air, doing what he loves.
Daphne snorted, "If you say so".
She scowled at her friend, but inside she was happy to see her friend so playful.
In the past month, Daphne has changed massively. Gone was the girl who was dubbed an ice queen because of her expressionless mask and the fact that she never interacted with others.
But now, not only does she talk with people other than Hermione, but she has also started to smile more in public and show her emotions more, and if Hermione had to guess what the reason was for that, it would be easy.
Ginny Weasley.
It seemed that at least between them, Daphne had taken the advice she was given and had started talking with the 7th year red-haired witch.
They had both become friends very quickly. If Daphne wasn't seen with Hermione at any time, there was a high chance that she was with Ginny.
Hermione had even seen both of them flirt with each other; it was obvious that both of them wanted each other, and both were aware of that fact.
Hermione was really happy for both of her friends and couldn't wait for the day when they would both finally confess their feelings for one another.
Who knows, it might be today?
Suddenly, Hermione saw Harry dive down rapidly; it seemed that he had finally seen the snitch. She watched in awe and fear as Harry zipped and zapped around players dodging bludgers chasing the snitch.
He was closing on to the ground very quickly, and just as he was going to crash, Hermione closed her eyes in fear, as she couldn't see the boy she loved crash.
But what she heard wasn't the sound of crashing; instead, she heard a huge roar as the stadium erupted in cheer. Opening her eyes, she saw Harry waving his hands in celebration with the golden snitch secured in his hand.
Hermione breathed a sigh of relief and went straight down the stairs to the ground to congratulate Harry.
She arrived, running there, and saw Harry getting patted on the back by his teammates. He looked at her running towards him, and a wide spread covered his face.
"Hermione!" He yelled and opened his arms to catch her as Hermione jumped straight into his arms and hugged him tightly.
Harry laughed and spun her around, with Hermione squealing and laughing with him. Once he stopped, he put her down and looked into her eyes.
"We won." He grinned with pride.
Hermione nodded and said, "You won again." She smiled widely at him, brimming with pride.
In that moment, Hermione forgot about everyone else. Her eyes drifted to his lips, and she licked her lips and stood on her toes to finally kiss his lips-
But before she could, Harry was pulled back by the crowd and hosted up in the air, with them loudly chanting his name.
Hermione stood there for a while in shock until she finally joined the crowd, clapping with a fake smile.
Beside her, Ginny yelled over the crowd, "PARTY TONIGHT AND EVERYONE IS INVITED."
The whole crowd cheered, and they finally put Harry down as the trophy celebration took place. Hermione grinned with pride and clapped with everyone as Harry hosted the championship trophy.
Even though she was happy for her friend, all she could think of was another missed opportunity to kiss Harry.
She was glad there was a party tonight; she really needed to get loose tonight.
Even though she had decided she was going to get loose tonight, Hermione was already regretting her decision as she finished the bottle of alcohol Ginny had handed her.
She should have known better than to trust Ginny.
She should have checked what she was handed by the mischievous younger girl, but she hadn't, and now she was facing the consequences of her mistake.
Whatever Ginny had given her was strong, and even though the bottle was hardly bigger than her hands, she was already feeling drunk.
Chugging the last of whatever was left in the bottle, she looked around at the loud party going on in the Gryffindor common room.
Ginny wasn't lying when she declared that anyone could come to the party, as the room was filled with not only the Gryffindors but also with other house students.
And most surprisingly, there were some Slytherins as well, including Daphne, who was enjoying her time dancing and singing with Ginny.
Smiling and feeling happy for her friend, Hermione diverted her attention to Harry and found him standing in between the gaggle of giggling girls who were trying to get his attention and flirt with him.
She felt a flash of jealousy as she saw those bitches touch and roam their hands on his body.
Just then, as if he felt her staring, Harry looked straight at her. He gave her a smile, and with some words to the witches around him, he separated himself and made his way to her.
Hermione's heart quickened as she saw him coming. Not wanting to look suspicious, she chugged the glass closer to her and swallowed a grimace from the taste of the drink.
"Hermione," Harry called her as he sat beside her on the couch. "Why are you not enjoying the party?
"I am," Hermione said with a forced smile, showing the bottle of alcohol.
Harry raised an eyebrow. "Drinking is not the only thing to do at a party, Mione. Why are you not dancing and enjoying yourself with others?" He said this while pointing towards their dancing friends.
Hermione shook her head. "I don't feel like dancing much today, Harry."
Harry looked at her with a tilted head, and Hermione fidgeted under his gaze. She saw his eyes roam over her body, seeing the dress she had worn for today's party.
"That's a nice dress, Mione," Harry complimented.
Hermione smiled. "Really?"
Harry nodded. "It suits you and shows your beautiful body perfectly."
Hermione beamed, "Thank you, Harry."
She was wearing a green cocktail dress that came down to her knees; it was tight in the right place to give a modest view of her boobs and her thick ass, yet very comfortable.

Hermione had never been able to deny him, especially when he used those secret weapons, which were his beautiful eyes.
So with that, she put her hand in his and let him take to the dance floor among their dancing friends, and they both began dancing with them.
As she danced with her friends and Harry Hermione realised she had been acting like an idiot instead of drinking alone, she should have been dancing like this with her friends and mainly Harry all along in the past hour.
She laughed and enjoyed as Harry spun her around, and they jumped and danced to the wild music booming in the room. Hermione took her chance as she rubbed her hands on Harry's body and her ass on his crotch as he swayed with her while his arms were around her waist.

"Listen guys, we are the only ones left, so let's play a game," she said excitedly.
Lavender and Parvati leaned forward and eagerly asked, "Which game?"
Ginny smirked, "Truth or dare."
"What game is that?" Daphne asked with a furrowed eyebrow.
Ginny sighed. "Hermione was right; we pureblood really don't know anything." She murmered while Hermione smirked, as she remembered saying that to Ginny when she had asked the same.
She decided to explain the rules of the game to Daphne: "It's a simple game, Daph. We will all sit in a circle, and there will be a bottle between us. And then, we will spin it, and whoever the cap lands on has to choose between truth or dare; if they choose truth, they have to answer a question truthfully, and if they choose dare, they would have to do whatever they are dared to do."
"And I am adding some new rules to this." Ginny smirked and pulled out a bottle of Fire whiskey, and for some reason, Hermione didn't like that. "Whoever decided not to answer the question or do the dare, they would have to take one shot of Fire whiskey."
"What no!" Hermione exclaimed.
"why"
"Because then we might get very drunk and wouldn't even know what we are doing," Hermione said in fear because she knew if she got more drunk, she couldn't trust herself to not do anything stupid.
Ginny shrugged. "Well, that's the point of it; if you are a coward and don't want to complete the challenge, you have to take the punishment."
"but-"
"Hermione." Harry cut her off. "Ginny is right; this is a good rule; it would make the game more interesting."
Hermione shut her mouth, as she couldn't argue with him. She knew what Ginny was trying to do with this new rule; she wanted her to get drunk and do something in front of Harry, which she would regret later.
"Thank you, Harry," Ginny grinned. "Now, is everyone ready to play?"
Lavender, Parvati, and Harry nodded eagerly, while Daphne did after Ginny persuaded her. Hermione tried to say no, but with one look at Harryβs face, she changed her mind and agreed.
All of them sat on the floor in a circle around the bottle, with Harry on the right of Hermione and Daphne on her left.
Ginny held the bottle and looked at them with a grin. "Here we go," she said, and she spun the bottle.
Hermione watched with a waiting breath and relaxed as it landed on lavender.
"Lav truth or dare," Daphne asked.
"Truth," Lavender said confidently.
"Alright, so.." Daphne thought and said, "Who is the most handsome guy in the school?"
"Oh, that is easy." Lavender shrugged. "Harry."
Harry frowned. "Wait, but surely there are other-"
"Harry, don't try to be modest; you are the hottest guy in the school; there is no doubt about that," Ginny cut him off and said firmly.
Harry blushed as all the girls nodded their heads.
Lavender then spun the bottle, and it landed on Parvati, but it was Hermione's turn to ask.
"I choose truth as well. Ask me, Hermione," Parvati said.
"Um.." Too scared for her turn, Hermione hadn't even thought about any questions. Seeing everyone waiting for her in panic, she asked the first thing that came to mind, "What is your favourite subject?"
"Oh, come on, Hermione, that's such a boring question," Ginny whined.
Parvati nodded. "She is right, Hermione, and my answer is divination."
"Well, I am sorry if I don't have a dirty mind like you." Hermione huffed and sat back with her arms crossed.
She tried to act annoyed, but then Harry chucked at her, and her lips curled into a smile.
Parvati then spun the bottle, and it landed on Harry.
"Truth or dare, Harry?" Ginny asked.
"Truth"

"T..Truth," Hermione said, fearing what Parvati was going to ask.

Hermione's face turned into horror, and she tried not to look at Harry unless she gave it away quickly. Without even saying anything, she picked up the shot of fire whiskey and downed it.
"For fuck sake, Hermione," all the girls groaned as she took the cowardly way, but she ignored them and sneakily looked at Harry, and was he looking disappointedly at her?
She shook her head as the girl kept moaning and spun the bottle, and it landed on Ginny.
"Truth, ask me anything you want, Harry," Ginny challenged.
Harry smirked. "Who is your secret crush?"
Ginny narrowed her eyes at him and smirked back. "Daphne," she said confidently, looking at the blonde.
Hermione smiled as her friend's eyes widened, and the way she looked back at Ginny with hunger, she knew they were no longer just friends after this night.
From then on, the game continued, and they kept choosing the truth, wanting to make others lose their tongues and get their secrets out. Hermione found out much more about her friend than she ever did before.
Gradually, the questions start getting dirtier, as was evident when it was the lavender turn.
"What is your dirtiest fantasy?" Daphne asked.

"Alright then" Daphne said with a mischievous look in her eyes, "I dare you to take your top off".

He then tucked her under the blanket, and looking at her peaceful sleeping face, he leaned down to whisper, "I don't know what you wanted to tell me, but I also want to tell you one secret of mine."
He caressed her rosy cheeks with his thumb. "I love you, Hermione Granger, and I have for a long time," he whispered, kissing her forehead.
With one last look at her, he then went to his room, where all night his kiss with Hermione would be in his mind.
