Thank you for voting and a special thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts, you've given me a lot to think about!
I'm honestly surprised with the results. I fully expected to see one side to win, but I guess now it's up to me to decide my own fate :)
I'll write up all my thoughts and all the changes to my Patreon on a massive post tomorrow. I think I may have a way to keep the current format going while producing the eroge project at the same time.

Hello guys, it's been a while since I posted. Before anything, I want to thank you for your support and I want to remind you that I've sent out the August rewards the other day. Please let me know if you didn't receive a message and we'll get it sorted out!
So, What's Next?
I've reach a point in my art journey where I'm wanting more from my art. Right now, illustrations alone no longer satisfy me like it used to. I used to jump in joy whenever I finish an illustration but now finishing illustrations is just a normal thing for me. That's not to say that I hate it, but I yearn for something more. And that's what motivated me to finally make my own game/VN.
What would happen with the current format? I will still draw ero illustrations but it won't be as polished as the previous ones. I really want to focus on my game going forward.
The problem is I couldn't decide on what to do and this is why I haven't posted in a while. But it just occurred to me that I could just let you guys decide on what I should work on. Because if it's left up to me, I'll just be wishy-washy and indecisive about it. Here are my options:
1) Original Eroge
Summary: Thanks to your expertise in all fields of magic, you have been hired by a Magic Academy to tutor several talented students. You are relocated to a secluded dorm where you and the students will live and study together. All is well at first, but you learn that each student has a certain fear that prevents them from reaching their full potential. It's your job to guide and teach them, and to devise a plan to help them overcome their fears. Perhaps in the process you'll win their hearts as well π
2) Neptunia Eroge Fangame
Summary: What started out as a simple illness turns out to be a terrifying virus that threatens to wipe out the entire Gamindustri. Thankfully, You are an expert in the virus field and you know of a way to cure it. The CPUs enlist your help and together, you will investigate the source of the virus, help out citizens, and find the materials to create a cure. Along the way, you'll help the CPU's with their own personal problems and who knows, they might just need your help in bed π
I want to stress that:
- I like both options equally so I'm happy either way; and
- There will be no loli/underage routes/love interests in either plans
That means if the Nep fangame wins, there will be no ero route for Nep (human form), Blanc/White Heart, Ram, Rom, Nepgear, Uni and their CPU forms. I know that some of these don't seem like lolis, but they are to me in my own definition and I simply don't want to draw ero lolis. Please keep this is mind.
I know that there are certain complications about Fangames. But unlike Nintendo who goes absolute insane with its copyrights, Compile Heart doesn't seem to mind? In any case, if the Nep fangame wins, it will only be publicly released once it is finished. Naturally, you guys will have access to it before the public release :3
Anyway, I need to start something because at this rate I'm just wasting precious time that I can never take back. With your votes, it could certainly cement my resolve and finally get to work.

Maybe. The idea is that if the project succeeds, I'll keep making more eroges. I'll put my thoughts together in a post tomorrow, but rest assured, I love the Neps just as much! ^_^

I wanna see how the poll goes first and I'll try to weigh all the pros and cons before I finally decide though.

That's a good idea. The only thing stopping me is the learning curve with Live2D but it may very well be a worthwhile investment.

Hmm you bring up a good point. I do love the idea of a nep fangame, in fact I've had this idea for so long though I also really love the appeal of making an original work. For now I'll wait to see how the poll goes. I can do art, programming and story outlining and I'd prefer to do all those. I'd like the in-game prose to be written by someone else though and I already have someone in mind but I'll contact them once I have something concrete to work with. I have collected Creative Commons music and sounds so I think I'm good on that front, at least for an early build. I do want original soundtrack but it's not at the top of my priority list right now.

I'd say an original game is a good opportunity to work on something different from what you're used to while having the usual drawing activity aside to get some fresh air and recharge your batteries, so to speak. Do you think you'll be handling all aspects of the project by yourself or will you enlist some help further down the line ?
