Man, I've been having the worst luck with electronics this year. My barely 7 month old M2 drive died on me last Saturday and I lost a chunk of stuff with it, including the latest iteration of that Laefa model I spent 50+ hours figuring out how to make :/ I was luckily able to dig out an older version from Tabletop simulator but it lacks a lot of tweaks and fixes I made as well as the rigging.
98% of my other stuff was backed up but I ended up losing a Terraria world that a friend and I spent 80+ hours in too. I'm going to have an external nvme enclosure arriving soon. Hopefully without the stress of it being the boot drive, the drive can get read for just long enough for me to pull some stuff off of it. It's a miracle I got into my PC two more times, juuuuust long enough to grab a couple of non-backed-up sai files and images before crashing again. I still missed a variant or two
The second-to-last pic of this set is a jpeg I sent through a chat to someone and that's how I recovered it. It's a slightly toned down version where his expression looks less worried. Unfortunately the sai2 file containing this edit didn't make it and I only have a lossless png of the original, but I prefer that edited version more.

Damn, I'm sorry. This is why I need be more paranoid about keeping backups. There's a lot of stuff I simply don't have any backups for, but I can at least get core stuff kept safe.

Do you still have the physical drive? A dead PC isn't the last for your your files. I've used other PC setups to pull old files from dead computers. Even if your PC is flat burnt, if the drive the information is saved on is ok, you can always pull with the right connections. A little more work, but whats 3 hours to 150+ of detailed and intensive work for your creations? Edit: I mean that if the system files are the only thing wrong, the others could still get recovered. Like I said, though, would be some work. However, your world and the creations in it are worth EVERY effort! Glad you were able to recover what you did though! Sorry about the rest. . .

Really sorry to hear about your drive dying. Losing stuff stings so bad, especially things you put so much time into. Hope your new backup system ends up working really well! I LOVE the device at play here in the last pic. The double penetration and view of the spreading is *so good*. BDSM with weird functions is always so cool, like an extra layer of contextual kink. Using the soft bird boy like a magical transformer to step the energy up is such a cool concept. This is the sort of thing I'd love to see as a vignette or short comic. On the flipside from that, I adore the cuddly, intimate pic of Laefa, too. We could use more soft and tender stuff in balance with the kinky bondage and experiments. They're both delicious, just different flavors! ;D
