Well, I thought the last several episodes were going to be the one for crash outs, the one for emotional breakdowns, but THIS one gets to the heart of the series, as Okarin and Mayuri's relationship faces more tension and Okarin struggles if he should tell Kurisu about the final D-Mail...one that will undo all of the harm they've caused the world lines, save Mayuri, but possibly cause Kurisu...to no longer exist!

SUCH a sad episode indeed! Mayuri’s death is so sad….yeah, that’s such a good point about it being the one time he was with her when she died! That is HEARTBREAKING! It really makes you, like you said, not want to see those scenes! And yeah, would Okabe have kept doing it otherwise? HMMMM indeed! Thank you for the comment! I can’t wait to see what goes down, next!

This episode was so sad!!! I think this death of Mayuri hit me the hardest because it was the first time Okarin actually stopped and embraced Mayuri and listened to her before she died. All the other times he would run off to time leap and try again but him being with her and her saying she was useful to him ughhhh that hit me harder than that train and him carrying her back to the lab was one of those moments where Im glad we dont get to see how things play out. Both Nae tripping and inadvertently leading to Mayuri's death, Nae being left alone with no dad and now the lab members coming back to a dead Mayuri Im glad we dont get to see more of what plays out in those moments because that would have wrecked me. It hurt even more to learn that she had nightmares of the previous world lines because if Okarin knew that I wonder if he would have stopped trying to do over these events and instead tried to talk to Mayuri instead of continuing to try again and again knowing that more memories would haunt Mayuri. Well let's see what's the choice of Steins gate as we head into the last three episodes.
