[snowstorm muffled in background] [the sounds of car engine failing]
Oh come on, come on. sigh I just had this thing serviced, how is this happening? [brief pause] Yeah, I told the mechanic that I was heading up to the mountains with my fiancĂ© for our 6-year anniversary and to do the whole kit and kaboodle. I got a brand new battery, replaced the spark plugs, new oil change, and I had them check my engine was up for the four hour drive. Iâm going to have a serious talk with themâŠwhen we eventually make it homeâŠor at least back home. [brief pause] Of course I am upset, here I am trying to give my fiancĂ© the best vacation heâs ever had in the mountains and it all goes to crap because the mechanic probably cut corners! Itâs justâ-WellâŠnoâŠ.no I havenât had blood today. Maybe I am just a bit off. Iâm sorry babe. [brief pause] Alright wellâŠmaybe just a quickâŠbite haha. vampire feeding for a short while Ahhhh whoo much better. Thanks, my love. [brief pause] Well, now that Iâve calmed downâŠI guess thatâs true too. I mean, we are renting a cabin in the local town so, even small towns have mechanics. Well, I guess I could call Triple A and theyâll take us to the closest mechanic, which according to the GPS, is in the town we are going to be staying in. Hang tight, my handsome hunk. phone unlock sound phone dialing Itâs ringing. I gotta put on my professional voice.
Yes hi, good afternoon or well I guess technically evening to you as well Greg haha, my name is Simon and Iâm with my fiancĂ©. We broke down going North on highway 45 on our way to Rojo Ranchero Mountain and we are currently parked on the right side of the road. Thankfully, I pulled over right away because thereâs still some cars, motorcycles, and semis driving around. Can you send a tow truck and give us a tow into the town. Or, well, we are actually roughly 30 minutes from our destination, maybe they can send somebody out? [brief pause] Well, honestly I am not sure. I donât have a flat and I was just finishing telling my fiance that I just had my car serviced for the drive there and back and I requested they give me the premium package if you will haha and well, I am starting to think that Iâm going to have to be a male Karen for the first time in my life haha. [brief pause] I am driving a black 2019 Honda Accord LX with completely blacked out tint with decorative Santa legs hanging out of the trunk. I know Christmas is over but, you know with the snow, itâs always funny to play a little joke on kids that Santa is being kidnapped haha. [brief pause] Haha yeah, weâre gonna say, yeah kids, Santa was actually walking home from the library and we clobbered him over the head and tied him up and now weâre on the lam hahaha. [brief pause] Oh no, youâre kidding me. Seriously? [brief pause] I meanâŠI guess that makes sense with the snow and the distance and everything. Alright so, when can we expect someone? [brief pause] Alright, well I guess thatâs fine. Well, we will see you then. [brief pause] AlrightâŠsounds good ... ..yepâŠyeah huhâŠexcellentâŠalrightâŠalright thank youâŠokay haha, you have a good one too Greg bye bye now.
heavy sigh Alright, so, he said to expect them between 30 mins to a whole hour. So, I tell you what we will do instead, hop in the back seat with me and weâll huddle together for warmthâŠuhh for you though haha. Uh, but wait, let me go first. seat moving sounds Alright now you. seat moving sounds Alright, rest your head against mine. But first, I need to top myself offâŠdo ya mind? Haha alright thanks babe. vampire feeding for a short while Mmm, the taste of your blood is hard to beat, but letâs test that with these bad boys and I donât mean you when youâre being a bratty little Prince. I was going to save these special beers for when we got up there, but, since we are going to be stuck here for a long time, might as well make the best right? I meanâŠwe haveâŠsomewhat of a nice view of the mountains and I also get to look at my future husband, the most handsome man in the world. What more is needed? can opening sfx 2x Here you go babe. Cheers, to six years of happiness, hereâs to an eternity of more. slurps Damn, thatâs good! [brief pause] Haha unfortunately I didn't pack any food which is for a good reason. I wanted to go to the grocery store up there and buy us a fancy meal and I would cook everything. And, we would have these beers to celebrate haha. But, whatâs the harm in celebrating now? slurps
[brief pause] Hmm haha damn right babe. sigh DamnâŠcan you believe that weâve been together for 6 years and weâre about to get married this coming October? Time sure does fly. I know itâs become a bit of a cliche now, but this time it feels different butâŠdo you remember the day we met? I remember it like it happened yesterday. You were working in your Auntie Janeâs coffee shop and I had come in an hour before closing. Do you remember what I ordered? Letâs say it together. A venti vanilla cold brew with two pumps of cinnamon dulce and two shots of espresso topped with whipped cream and matcha tea powder. You were wearing a black polo shirt, dark blue jeans, and a pair of Black Toms. At the time, you had an industrial piercing on your right ear and black and red snake bites. Do you remember what I was wearing? [brief pause] Exactly, a red and black suit. What was it you said to me? âOh my goodness, I literally just got done listening to this audio book about a vampire named Damien whose trademark look is a black and red suit! Let me guess, you need all the caffeine because youâre a night owl or some otherâŠcreature of the night?â And I said, âHaha in more ways than you thinkâ. Then I followed it up with, âIn fact, Iâm actually Batman!â Haha probably the worst joke I ever said but you gave me a sincere chuckle. I drank the tasty beverage all up and for some reason, I didnât want to leave right away. I knew I just had to ask you out. Remember, I asked you what you were doing after work and you said, oh just going back home to finish watching Vampire Diaries. I then just straight up asked you out and you said yes haha. And where did we end up going? Another coffee shop hahahahaha. Then, after 6 months of dating, I revealed what I really was and look where we are now, about to eventually, hopefully, go on a wonderful vacation. kisses then neck kisses then vampire feeding for a short while Haha sorry, I canât help myself. Forget what People magazine says, I have the sexiest man alive in my car right now haha. slurps [brief pause]
Huh? How can you ask me that when we are literally going to get married? I got down on one knee and proposed to you. We have had 5 other previously amazing anniversaries together and now you are asking me if I truly love you? I mean, babe, Iâve told you why I canât turn you YET. So why now? [brief pause] No babe, I think the stress of the car breaking down is making you even more koo-koo than I was earlier. I love you with all my heart and soul. I want to be married to you and I hope that you feel just the same. [brief pause] Aww haha, why are you shaking, are you still cold? DamnâŠwell do you have any other ideas on how we can fix that? [brief pause] chugs drink, crushes can, burps Donât have to ask me twice haha. Come here you gorgeous work of art
