I genuinely thought this day may never come. The strangled scream I let out yesterday when I woke up and saw the rwtw notification but was gutted that I’ve been too busy to watch it untill now!! This show was pretty life changing for me for many different reasons which I guess I’ll get into the further you go along. I watched it for the first time in the 2020 lockdown and I have rewatched every new year (in celebration of the ekiden) since then. Also I know everyone has mentioned that the composer for rwtw is the same as haikyuu and mha but also he has gone on record to say that this was his favourite project and the one he is most proud of. You can already feel that I think even in this first episode

OK, I'm back! Aah, I'm so glad you're already vibing with this show—you're right; "resonant" is a great word to describe it. The OST is a big part of the appeal! The college setting is refreshing too, when so many shows are set in middle/high school or, like, on a battlefield... The idea of what it means to "like" something (including running, specifically) will continue to come up. I have often said I "hate" running, but like you said, I've lately come to the conclusion that love/hate or like/dislike can be too simplistic a distinction, and not altogether honest. This show was what inspired me to take up running again after many, many years of blissfully avoiding it, and I'm happy that I did. I run outdoors for exercise, which I could choose not to do, so there is something to it that keeps me going back. I like the setting; I like the satisfaction of having accomplished something; I like feeling strong; I like who I am when I regularly run. Those things are part of running, so can I truly say I hate running? No, I don't think so. It's funny though how stubbornly I've clung to the idea that I hate it—it's been oddly difficult to admit otherwise.

Sport anime really motivated me to get back and play some table tennis, I am really excited to see what this show does, and I just want to strive and be close to this anime characters that have full dedication to something. It is hard to devote yourself to just one thing with so many options out there.
