General Counsel to the Iron Bank
The show's great, we should love it for what it is, it's just not GRRM
General Counsel to the Iron Bank
The night king as the *dark lord*, Euron the happy pirate, Dorne, Stannis, Aegon (editing him out undermines role of Varys and Illyrio), Stoneheart, Victarion, Marwyn, Barristan, Tyrion flying a dragon ...
General Counsel to the Iron Bank
Good news that, except for some reveals - R+L, Shireen - the books are not spoiled. I've learnt more about TWOW from Notacast than the show :)
General Counsel to the Iron Bank
The show lost the plot long ago. It's not fair, but D&D are expected to follow the real genius of George RR Martin. And they can do many great things. But they can't do that.

Hello fellas, I’m writing to ask you a simple question: where, in your expert opinion, was the divergence from the books where it all went wrong for the show? Personally, I thought episode three’s blowback was overblown but warranted; but episode four was an abomination and now I just can’t stop asking myself what was the point of all this (Bran’s abilities, the dragons, the others, Jon’s resurrection, the connection to the direwolves, the burning of shireen, etc)? Help us NotACast boys, you’re our only hope (at sanity)!
Isabel Trujillo Rocha
Knowing about military strategy... What is the worst mistakes you've seen until this moment? Are the constant lack of scouts or the super multi-use scorpions (dragon killers and ship destroyers 😜) among them?
Adam Greene
Hot take he kills Dany & gets exiled North

In the UK, the growing epidemic of rape threats against female politicians (including by candidates of rival parties!) is a pressing issue (e.g. in today's newspapers), and rightly so because it is appalling. With or without this backdrop, do you agree that S8E4 suggesting that Sansa has only acquired political power _because she was raped by Ramsay_ and is _apparently grateful for this_ is totally fucking unforgiveable?
Christopher Compton
KING BEYOND THE BROKEN WALL!
JOHNNY GUERRERO
How do you feel about the episode having Cersei show she can adhere to rules of a parley and not slaughtering her enemies when she had the chance while Sansa immediately breaks her word after swearing she wouldn’t. Do you feel both are extremely out of character?
Robert Hanff
Do you think Missandei’s final word, dracarys, was a warning to Daenerys that Cersei has wildfire? Is there a separate Valyrian word for wildfire?
TarthGirl
I will admit that he walked away in a totally shitty way. But seriously, he is probably confused and scared as hell. It is literally his first intimate relationship with anyone other than Cersei.
TarthGirl
Why is everyone so pissed about Jamie plot? I am happy that they got together but was shocked that he ever stayed with Brienne to begin with. He ruined his reputation to save KL once already. He probably sees increased likelihood that someone is going to torch it and wants to do what he can. Seriously, were people expecting him to sit out while all of this shit went down?
Hunding
Is Rhaegal now the biggest and longest-established Redshirt in the entire history of fiction?
Alistair
Is there anything the showrunners can do that could stop you watching? Do you feel complicit in carrying on as 'fans' after any of the most problematic ugliness? (I'm really struggling with Missandei dying in chains.)
Philipp Pielmeyer
Do you also think the dragons go down to easily? In the books that is supposed to be a lot harder
Mark
What do you guys think of Sansa telling Tyrion about Jon/Aegon? Do you think she was taking a page out of Baelish’s book and trying to sow discord in Dany’s camp? Also what is up with these ridiculously OP ballistas? I mean they went right through Rhaegal like a hot knife through butter! Aren’t dragon scales supposed to be incredibly hard? Just seems like a convenient dues-ex type of event to make the odds even between Dany and Cersei.
Jason Icerman
Assuming you haven't been spoiled, what do you confidently predict will be the final defining action(s) of the major characters? Jamie kill Cersei? Arya not... kill Cersei? Which characters do you have no confidence predicting? I personally have the least confidence predicting Tyrion based on the first 4 episodes.
Kevin Stearns
Do you think we’ll ever see Howland Reed in the show?
Zack Newman
Where is Edmure? Is he dead?
Traci Laird
How could Dany realistically bypass the new scorpions!
Bword
Wondering if you guys would do what HoW does with their show casts with a “Worry of the week”.
Sir Way of Course
In his farewell with Tormund, there was some foreshadowing that Jon would one day return North. Any speculation as to why?
Guy Incognito
What was your biggest “oh COME ON” moment of the episode?
Zack Newman
Whats up with Dorne? Who is their leader? Where is their army?
Rebecca
Do you think Show!Varys, who actually seems to believe "for the realm," will put in safeguards to kill Dany before she goes full Mad Queen? I think she's done listening to her advisors and I doubt she listens to Jon, a.k.a. Better Claim to the Throne-garyen. Do you think the Northern storyline is done until the final episode recap? Was Sansa's mistrust shown specifically so she would tell Tyrion or do they have something else planned for her story?
Andrew Bergman
Anyone else getting sack Sack of King's Landing 2.0 vibes? Like, not in that Daenerys will gain an easy access to the city, but in a she's going to take things way too far only for Jongon to show up too late to do anything to stop it?
Randee
How do you think this version of Dark Dany tracks with what's to come in the books? Her character arc is certainly set up to be morally murky, but I'm not really buying how antagonistic and undiplomatic she's become in the show. It seems to run against everything she's gone through thus far.
Unrequited Meh
Is it good or bad military strategy to fly your dragons casually around an island on which you have conducted no reconnaissance, and to do so within range of any potential dragon-bows (that you have encountered in battle before)?
Emre
Do you think that the books will have a different ending? Possibly with “evil 3ER”.
Samuel Kane
Thoughts on how they’re trying to pack sooo much plot into this last season and how it’s a disservice to said plot and the show itself that they didn’t spread some of this out over the last season or 2?
Mike Edwards
Bonus question... Is Jamey going to Cersi and defending her meant to "trick" the audience? He's going to kill her, right? I get Arya / Sansa / LF last season vibes here and the only point is to red con the audience which makes no sense in universe.
Mike Edwards
Why is everything off screen? Jon's reveal to Sanda and Arya, Sansa telling Tyrion about Jon, Messandi being captured. Poor writing? Rush to ending?
Sam Liebman
Is Euron too stupid to realize Tyrion knowing about Cersei's pregnancy means the baby isn't his?
Morgan
why is bronn still in this show?
Zack Newman
Arya/Sandor = True Detective s4? Euron taking down a dragon = Eldritch apocalypse confirmed? Jaime gonna kill Cersei or nah? Where are my krakens? Will Robin Azor Ahai Arryn show up to rescue the realm in episode 5 or episode 6?
Morgan
Quent just returned from his quest to mareen where he just missed dany and finds out that all his family is dead :(
Laura Lanzoni
What are your thoughts about Jon revealing the truth about his parentage to his sisters-cousins, knowing it might lead to a civil war if the truth got out? I couldn’t help but compare it to the way Ned handled the same secret, keeping the truth hidden at the cost of some damage in his personal relationships. Jon seemed to value coming clean to Sansa and Arya more than avoiding any consequence that that reveal might lead to. Am I being too generous to the writers if I surmise that Jon told the truth precisely because he had suffered the consequences of Ned hiding the same truth from him all his life? Also, (poor) Quentyn is the new Prince of Dorne confirmed.
Timothy Wiesner
How did Euron's fleet sneak up on Daenerys' fleet... again?
ZOMB13J3SUS
If so, I believe that's the only instance where we see a liar in front of the Heart Tree....thoughts?
Kaffee Stark
WTH? Jon couldn’t pet Ghost good-bye, or at least tell him to stay with Sansa? He lost most of an ear participating in that ridiculous vanguard charge, where he didn’t belong. D&D’s writing stinks. #RespecttheDirewolf #petGhost.
Sir Way of Course
Any chance we see Daenerys attacking the Red Keep using Aegons tactics on Harrenhal. Not sure of the range of fire on the scorpions but it may be and effective way to negate them
Kyle
Why tf would jon just give his LITERAL SPIRIT ANIMAL to tormund without even saying goodbye? This is the worst thing that has ever happened on the show and it proves how little the writers know about, or even respect the source material.
ZOMB13J3SUS
Did Sansa fudge her words on purpose when swearing secrecy to Jon? I mean, not that it matters because Jon knew what would happen once he opened his mouth...
