Weekly Update!
🕑 Added 2023-04-24 23:37:31 +0000 UTCProviding weekly updates on game development progress, including news, work-in-progress images (to appropriate tiers), and write-ups, as promised!
Update 1: Made a new graphic for the Weekly Update. :)
Nothing further to add, I just think it formalizes the weekly update and is definitely more eye catching.
Update 2: Designing Future Game Systems
So, we all know we want a Save System. I've been working on that. What we DON'T know is when it comes to other game systems. How do we want to interact with our favorite Milfs?
I think doing chores worked well, in the beginning - since it keeps the very "casual" part of the game intact. However, we need to decide if we're okay with that, or if we want something more. I don't want to design and program 50 different chore types, and then we collectively look back and say "well, maybe that's not what we wanted." I myself am in this boat. But that's okay! That's part of the purpose for these small, incremental builds. We get to have fun deciding that together.
With that said, I've spent a lot of my time these past two weeks reading about people's favorite Dating Sims, their favorite NSFW Games in general (I made a post about it on Lewd Games: Link ) and thinking deeply about where Edgeville's enjoyment comes from. I do enjoy the chores, but I also think that having more "Dating Sim" elements would be good for the game. I haven't made up my mind yet, but you will see some of those elements being tried out in future builds.
Update 3: Created a General FAQ
I also spent some time creating an FAQ, that's already led to some interesting conversations. You can find it HERE. Please let me know if you think we should add a question.
Update 4: Development of the next Release!
I've also been hard at work making the next release possible. This release will be another two-parter. The first release will finish the original gameplay content that I planned for Mrs.Incredible's first act.
In the versions that you've played until now, her suit was placed in the middle of Dexter's Lab. That wasn't the original intention. I did that because I ran out of time, and didn't want to keep people waiting for the next release. So, like many pained artists before me, I decided to stop working on it and release it even though I still had more to do. That's okay! I found that its more rewarding for me to have people play the game even in the unfinished current state, than it is for me to hoard it until everything is perfect.
I haven't started the Save System yet, but I plan on doing that within the next few days.
Update 5: Split the next Release Up
Since there's a lot to do for this game, and limited time to do it in, I also took the time out to split up the release for another 2-parter:
The new release will not have Helen's suit in the middle of the lab. I don't want to spoil it, but it will require more work from you, and you'll get to meet a new character. This would conclude Part A of the release, along with the Save System for version v.0.1.02.
Part B ( version v.0.1.03) will be mostly visual improvements. Dexter's Lab would hopefully look a bit more completed, as will Dexter's Home. This is important so that I can move Dexter's Mom's storyline forward later on. You'll also some improvements all around, and hopefully I get around to texturing the main character so his cock isn't so pasty.
Update 6: Worked on the Roadmap
I wanted to have this out last week, but the longer the list of things to do got, the more structured I tried making the Roadmap. I may have to break this up for you guys as well, into a "General Roadmap" that should give you the expectation for new characters being added, then a more detailed version later down the line.
Update 7: When will the Next Release Be?
The last release for v.0.1.01 happened on April 8, 2023. To keep my word, I plan on releasing v.0.1.02 on or before May 7, 2023. That's only 2 weeks away!
So far, that release date hasn't been jeopardized. :)
If you made it this far, thanks for reading. And again, I can't thank you enough for your support. This game is getting more and more attention and support thanks to you, my Patrons. <3
