Edgeville Release This Week!
🕑 Added 2023-04-03 15:23:34 +0000 UTCHey guys! I've been busy working on a lot of graphical changes this release for you. Above is another screenshot. You can expect these changes to roll out by Friday, just in time for the weekend! Woohoo!
(The above screenshot is still a work in progress. Notice the missing bulbs on the lamps. And they are a bit too dark for my taste.)
HUGE changes, but some highlights:
* By far the biggest change will be the lighting and camera effects. Please see a before-and-after comparison shot here: Graphical Upgrades Coming For the Next Build | CCG Games on Patreon
* Textures added to some materials. I'm trying very hard to keep a "cartoony" feel without being too plain. I also want to stay away from 3D cell shading as that would make the look too generic.
* Neighborhood plan changes. Smaller and shorter streets (I felt it was too boring having them as they currently are), I moved some houses around - including Mrs. Incredible's home.
* The Park has been expanded and moved into it's own area. Its wayyy bigger now.
* Adding shopping districts and buildings (at least the areas. They won't be interactive yet. Just laying the foundation for the next build)
There's more behind the scenes stuff code-wise that you won't see.
Again, I'm targeting Friday (Maybe sooner???). :)
