fun with tesla coils and fire
🕑 Added 2021-04-19 03:57:46 +0000 UTCi apologize for the lack of content recently. the past couple months have been rough for me. i cancelled last months patreon payments since I hadn't made any content for you guys.
anyway, i've been shooting a vid on tesla coils and fire, and it has turned out to be a fun mashup of engineering and chemistry. building a true tesla coil that can stay on resonance with a chaotic topload turned out to be a challenge, but I settled on an unusual vacuum tube design based on secondary feedback.
the most interesting output electrode was lithium metal, with a dish of trimethyl borate in methanol as a close second. however, i couldn't get the circuit to ignite sodium metal. :( thus, i've already torn down the circuit in order to use the moster tube in a plasma flame circuit. stay tuned!

Same as the others. Try not to stress about the support you get from here even I understand it could be difficult. At least I have not read or heard you promise to produce anything at a regular schedule so I'm not excepting one either. Besides, your content is as much art as its science. It's not going to be as good if it doesn't bubble up from inspiration. Take care man!

I'm with grovermatic. I donate with no expectations, so do what you need to do and I'll wait patiently. Hope you're doing ok, and that things go better for you soon. Also, I don't mind supporting even on months with no content, and I know you can't pause payment for some people and not others. Is there a PayPal I can donate to if you feel the need to pause again? GU10As aren't the cheapest, and they certainly don't pay for themselves.
