Sunday piano meditation - no. 3
🕑 Added 2023-10-15 17:28:52 +0000 UTCMaybe some of you recognize the theme of this improvisation - I played this melody for the first time at my mum's piano in Brandenburg, Germany, a couple of years ago. Every time I play it it's a little different, especially the B-Part, but I still like the mystical atmosphere a lot.
Usually it's in E minor, but as my very old Viennese piano is a transposing instrument (it sounds a semitone lower, actually its pitch is probably already lower than 400Hz), so it sounds Eb minor - a perfect fit to continue with our ascending scale. :)
I hope you all had a joyful weekend (and that I'm not confusing you too much with all that music theory talk, my apologies). Have a cozy evening and treat yourselves well - autumn really arrived in Vienna today, it's cold and windy outside.
Take care,
xx
