Earth‘s my home
🕑 Added 2024-01-10 11:00:04 +0000 UTCI‘m split in half
Can’t explain why
I’m fighting against
What I can not define
If I close my eyes
The one side is bright
High-grown flowers shine
On birds in the sky
Now I’m blinking a bit
Just a hand above the ground
Float dark heavy clouds with
Monsters lurking around
Ohhhhh I’m child
Between night and day
Ohhhhh I’d miss the earth
And skies just the same
I‘m looking at blue
tiles in the morning
Everyone‘s sleeping
But I’m wide awake
And I’m quietly walking
On selfknitted rainbow
Socks from my mother
To keep it that way
Ohhhhh I’m child
Between night and day
Ohhhhh I’d miss the earth
And skies just the same
We’re all simple mortals
made out of bones,
Blood, flesh and muscles
Glued to our phones ^^
Sometimes I wonder
How would it feel
To be a heavily creature
With no gravity
Ohhhhh I’m child
Between night and day
Ohhhhh I’d miss the earth
And skies just the same
I’ve questioned the quest
Of life quite a bit
Never wanted to get there
Last week I did
either one side or the other
Every thought gotta a home
It’s not in my power
To tell them which one
Ohhhhh I’m child
Between night and day
Ohhhhh I’d miss the earth
And skies just the same
There‘s a time, there’s a place
And in the end of the day
I’ll be sunflowered dust
Getting carried away
With all what I’ve given
I‘ll be out and about
And I‘ll keep on singing
About sticking around
There’s a place, there’s a time,
mine is not yet to come
earth’s my home til I
Know where I belong
Earths my home til I
Go back to where I’m from
Earth‘s my home
Hmmmhmhmmm

These are the lyrics to one of the songs I wrote last week on the guitar. I actually wrote two more in the last two days, hmmm, no idea where that's coming from right now - but keep it coming, haha. I'll share those lyrics too, so this platform turns more and more into a personal music blog - I might add some first simple home recorded demos. You could give me feedback then if you like :)
