"Can't you just lie down and do it normally? Must you hang upside down like a bat on the wall?"
"They say doing handstands occasionally is good for blood circulation. Haven't you heard?"
"Hmm, I don't have that good balance."
Adding that he preferred exercising normally, Tae-ui loosened his wrist and ankle joints. However, he had done enough solo exercises like push-ups, handstands, and sit-ups to be sick of them.
Tae-ui stared blankly at Ilay who was instantly passing 30, 40 repetitions. Exercise seemed to be both hobby and lifestyle for this man. He would even read books while hanging upside down or in horse stance. Though doing that much exercise should have made him an incredible muscle man by now, seeing he wasn't suggested his physique was naturally built that way.
"But for someone who can snap necks one-handed even against decent machos, what need is there for visibly defined muscles?"
Tae-ui muttered as if to himself. In mid-air, Ilay briefly paused his movement to look at Tae-ui. After spending several days together, Tae-ui had grown bold enough to suddenly ask him:
"Hey, do you know that if you just properly strike the knees and heels when someone's hanging upside down like that, you can make them fall?"
When Tae-ui spoke casually, Ilay smiled slightly. Then he replied just as casually as Tae-ui:
"Won't work. You can try if you want though."
"Try if I want? Alright. Don't regret it. No taking it out on me later."
Getting ahead of any chance the man might fall and later come at him viciously with a narrow mind, Tae-ui lightly stood up. Then approaching him, he stopped two or three steps away.
"Hmm. Come to think of it, there is one difficulty. If I calmly approach within arm's reach, I'll get caught and beaten on the way."
Looking at Ilay who was hanging upside down with only his legs hooked on the shelf in the air, arms free, Tae-ui muttered as if troubled. But soon he smiled lightly.
"But fists aren't the only way to strike knees, you know."
As he finished saying "you know," Tae-ui stepped back three or four steps. As soon as he stepped back, he lunged forward as if springing up and planted his hands on the ground. Spinning half a rotation in the air, he aimed a kick at Ilay's knees while supporting himself with his hands. It happened in a brief moment. No time to dodge or change direction. Fortunately since he had loosened his ankle joints, he wasn't injured, but his balance broke.

Tae-ui let out a short cry then tilted sideways, falling to the floor with a thud and rolling. Ilay, who had freed his remaining leg from the shelf and landed on the ground simultaneously with stamping Tae-ui's ankle, immediately turned Tae-ui face down and sat on his thighs, just below his buttocks. He grabbed his arms too, bending them at the waist and pressing his shoulders.
It was instantaneous. Tae-ui just blinked muttering "huh." He had tried to play around lightly but somehow ended up pinned down.
"The intention to play lightly was good, but even when playing with me you should be fully prepared. Being this careless, your neck would fly off instantly in a real fight."
Ilay muttered laughing from behind. Tae-ui sighed and buried his chin in the mattress in front of him. Failed. He wasn't particularly frustrated. He had indeed taken it too lightly, and hadn't expected it to work properly going at this man carelessly.
But he was surprised. Though he already knew, this man had extremely good reflexes and balance. His strength, speed, and ability to control them were beyond question.
"Ilay. Where were you before joining UNHRDO?"
Tae-ui asked calmly while sighing. Where had this man learned such ability to find the exact moment without a split second's error and overwhelmingly seize the initiative at terrifying speed? This wasn't possible with branch training.
Behind him, Ilay was silent for a while. His expression couldn't be seen either. Tae-ui lay face down completely relaxing his body.
"Special Forces... Well, not that I was in it, but I received an offer to join."
"Which Special Forces?"
The answer cut off again. Only the sound of air leaking laughter could be heard. The large hand pressing Tae-ui's shoulder seemed to apply force. The arm bent behind him pulled.
"If you don't want to say, I won't ask. Just don't ask, right? Why try to pull someone's arm off over something like that?"
"Haha, I wasn't planning to pull it off. Here, I'll free one hand, try to escape."
Saying if you can escape, Ilay released Tae-ui's other hand. Simultaneously he leaned close, pressing Tae-ui's back down with his chest. His legs braced against the floor and arm pressing Tae-ui down were firmly tensed. It seemed like a modified pinning technique.
Tae-ui smiled slightly. Seems like he wants to play somehow too, being bored.
"You were really bored too, huh?"
Tae-ui planted his free arm on the floor. Then curling his body as much as possible from the pressed position, he lifted his torso maximally off the floor. He planned to lift his body off the floor supporting even this man's weight, then flip over and escape. But...
"Ugh, damn. Disgustingly heavy. Why is someone who looks so thin so heavy!"
"I often hear I look thin in clothes. Why are you saying that when you've seen me naked? I've never been called thin anywhere when undressed."

His balance broke again. And he slammed his chin into the floor hard enough to almost bring tears.
"Ow! ...Ugh... you bastard, what if I had bitten my tongue!!"
"Ah, sorry sorry. I didn't think of that."
Ilay apologized perfunctorily while laughing. But suddenly he sighed as if troubled.
"This is problematic. You should have dodged quickly, you struggled too much from below, Tae-ui."
"What nonsense. I'm dying from your weight. Ow damn, move! My chin is killing me from breaking!"
His mouth seemed slightly torn inside as he tasted blood. Tae-ui completely relaxed his body and irritably shook his hips slightly. But then he froze.
The body of Ilay sitting on top from behind also relaxed. If he pushed now, he could break free easily. But there was something heavy touching the inside of his thigh.
