Unaware of his senior's distress, the heartless junior asked a question.
-By the way, Senior. I have something to ask about magic development and 5th Circle magic.-
Yi-Han explained what he had just experienced.
The mad doppelganger had cursed at him to learn 5th Circle magic, then suddenly told him to create telekinesis shield magic.
Of course, this telekinesis shield magic itself might be 5th Circle.
But in a great mage's choices, even small things are imbued with meaning.
Even if he was a mad doppelganger, as a great mage, he couldn't overlook that.
Why had the mad doppelganger told him to create telekinesis shield magic instead of many other 5th Circle magics?
-You cast telekinesis shield magic non-verbally??-
-Senior. That's not what's important right now. I'm in big trouble if I can't learn it within a day.-
-...R-right.-
Direth was about to write 'If that's not important, what is?' but came to her senses at her junior's answer.
Certainly, that wasn't important right now.
Although the 2nd year junior had cast telekinesis shield magic non-verbally without even learning it, was this really so amaz...
'I'll have to ask him when he comes back.'
Direth couldn't help but make a note.
No matter how she thought about it, it was too surprising.
-I understand what the mad doppelganger is thinking.-
-Really?!-
Although he had asked, Yi-Han was surprised when his senior answered immediately.
'As expected, from 5th year onwards, do they become more like great mages than students?!'
-Generally, from 5th Circle magic onwards, there's a part where the difficulty increases quite a bit. You start entering small worlds from here too... Junior, do you know about magic parrots?-
-What's that? Is it a rare animal?-
-Hmm. You haven't heard yet.-
Magic parrot was one of the things students usually heard often from the skull principal around 3rd year.
-Are you a mage or a magic parrot?! You should use magic by thinking for yourself, if you only know how to recite learned magic like a parrot, you're not qualified to be a mage!-
'So it wasn't a rare animal.'
Yi-Han was slightly disappointed inwardly at Direth's explanation.
He had thought there might be parrots that helped with magic...
-Below 4th Circle, it's fine to just use learned and memorized magic. But from 5th Circle onwards, you gradually... need to understand.-
-I don't quite understand, Senior. Don't we need understanding for magic below 4th Circle too?-
-Yes. That's right. But that understanding isn't complete understanding. Junior. Why can't a mage who learned <Fire Arrow> use <Fire Spear>? What about <Fire Shield> or <Fire Whip>, <Fire Wall>?-
Yi-Han was amazed at Direth's words.
It was certainly correct.
Given that the fundamental principles were similar, a mage should be able to use <Fire Spear> the moment they learned <Fire Arrow>.
Yet Yi-Han and his friends couldn't do that.
Why was that?
-In the end, although you understand fragmentary parts, you lack complete understanding of the whole. The principal calls the realization needed for that sudden enlightenment... But that's not important. Anyway, if you understand completely like this, it's a very narrow area, but within that area, the mage can cast magic almost as they wish. As mentioned above, you can use <Fire Shield> and various magics on the spot even if you haven't learned or researched them.-
'Small world!'
Yi-Han instinctively recalled what the skull principal had said.
Hadn't he tormented people so much to learn 5th Circle magic in order to learn small worlds?
Hearing Direth's words, he seemed to understand why those two were connected.
To learn 5th Circle magic, you need a much deeper understanding than before, and that understanding becomes the foundation for small worlds.
How vast an understanding would be needed to change the world according to one's will?
-So you need to learn 5th Circle magics to even enter small world magic!-
-Junior. That's right, but... Small worlds aren't important right now. Your life is at stake, are you interested in other magic?-
-...I'm sorry.-
Yi-Han apologized at Direth's point.
Come to think of it, small worlds weren't very important right now.
-So junior. From your perspective, which area would be easiest for such understanding?-
-I think it would be water element or lightning element shape transformation. I've tried all kinds of things with water elements, and although lightning elements are still lacking, quite...-
-Actually, I was going to say telekinesis.-
Direth felt slightly embarrassed at her junior's answer.
In fact, neither Direth's nor the mad doppelganger's judgment was wrong.
First of all, telekinesis suited Yi-Han, who had a lot of mana.
Among various elements, it had the largest pure mana consumption.
It wasn't for nothing that mages implemented magic in other ways instead of casting complex magic with telekinesis.
Moreover, as it had to be cast purely with the mage's mind without borrowing the power of other elements abundant in nature, it was high in difficulty as well as mana consumption.
But for some people, these disadvantages of telekinesis could act as advantages.
For a mage who recklessly wielded magic by pouring out mana greatly without fine control...
To unconsciously summon a telekinesis shield, it should be considered quite embodied already.
'It seems like that because he was worked so hard last year.'
Direth recalled the magic training her junior had gone through last year.
She suspected that a certain professor with only one disciple's training had indirectly influenced such embodiment.
-You mean telekinesis?-
-You cast it non-verbally right away.-
-Ah. That's right. Was I actually suited for telekinesis rather than water or lightning?-
-...Maybe so...-
Although telekinesis wasn't something he had an aptitude for like water or lightning elements, Direth agreed to encourage her junior.
-Anyway junior. Telling you to create such telekinesis shield magic seems to mean you should greatly understand telekinesis.-
The telekinesis magic Yi-Han frequently used now was at most <Lesser Control>.
But if he researched the shield magic he had unconsciously used this time, and completely understood the area related to that magic, even if narrowly?
It was equivalent to learning a dozen or so lower magics together, not just ending with one 5th Circle magic.
-I understand, Senior. Then what I need to understand here is...-
-First... Non-verbal. For telekinesis, you should be able to cast non-verbally.-
-Non-verbal...-
-And compression.-
-Compression?-
-It doesn't end with just using mana and concentration to summon telekinetic force, but layering and strengthening the telekinetic force. That's how you freely increase output and such.-
To give a certain weight or impact with telekinesis, one had to understand the compression attribute too.
It wasn't completely new information, as he had persistently delved into spin when learning water attributes.
-Compression... But Senior. How do you know the principle of compression was in my shield magic?-
-Compression is essential to block that level of attack with just telekinesis. Next is naturally shape transformation. You know this without me saying, right?-
-Yes.-
-Multi-control.-
-Why multi-control?-
-You cast it instantly. You can't do that if you only focus on one shield. It's only possible if you can split your consciousness and do other things while summoning the shield.-
-Multi-control...-
Yi-Han cursed at his past self while organizing.
Why had he unconsciously used such a complex magic when he could have just taken one hit?
'Still, it's fortunate that there were several things I had tried before.'
Afterwards, Direth organized a few more parts.
-...That's about it, junior.-
-Pardon?-
-No. You can do it. Ask if there's anything you don't know.-
-Thank you. I'll do it.-
After closing the artifact, Direth immediately prepared to send a paper bird to Yukbeltire.
No matter how she thought about it, this was absolutely impossible to accomplish within a day.

Falcrius of the Kitchen Club was climbing the mountains with his juniors.
Although Falcrius usually had a lot of smiles, today he was frowning and glaring at distant places.
"This doesn't look good."
"What's wrong, Senior?"
"Magic is spread everywhere."
Even though they hadn't approached closely yet, powerful magical energy could be felt from several mountain peaks.
This wasn't something giants or mountain-destroying goats could do.
Clearly, a much more powerful being had descended on Einroguard.
"...Come to think of it, I heard such a rumor."
"What rumor?"
"That the principal's mad doppelganger is wandering around Einroguard."
"Hmm!"
Falcrius fell into thought with a cautious face.
Although there were many false rumors in Einroguard, sometimes some rumors contained truth.
And the magic felt from those mountain peaks made the rumor he had just heard feel like truth.
"It can't be, right?"
"Puhuhu. That's not the principal's mad doppelganger. At most, it would be a monster that crossed over from another realm."
"Whew. If it's just that..."
The Kitchen Club students were slightly relieved.
Although monsters that crossed over from other realms were fearsome beings too, they felt much better compared to the skull principal's mad doppelganger.
'If we're going to rescue him, we should do it quickly.'
Falcrius thought inwardly.
If it really was the mad doppelganger, they had to rescue him as soon as possible.
Although other juniors were enthusiastic now, he wasn't sure if they wouldn't run away after seeing the mad doppelganger.
...But what on earth was Wardanaz doing to get kidnapped by the principal's mad doppelganger?
-What business do students have here?-
"!!!"
The Kitchen Club students were startled by the voice coming from high above their heads.
There weren't many beings who could speak like this.
"It's a giant!"
"Mr. Ikurusha. We have no intention of stealing sheep, or milk or cheese. We've brought tribute, so please forgive us!"
Like an experienced senior, Falcrius quickly offered the tribute they had brought and distanced himself with his juniors.
Although Ikurusha was a relatively reasonable giant to talk to, a giant was still a giant.
If he got in a bad mood or threw a tantrum, they had to run away immediately.
-Tribute... Hmm... Not bad. It's rare for students to climb up here. What's the matter?-
"One of our juniors got lost, so we came to look for him."
-I see.-
Ikurusha made a thunderous clicking sound with his tongue.
-You must be having a hard time. I'll accept the gift well.-
"Yes. Thank you."
"Senior. Can't we ask if he's seen Wardanaz?"
"No. We might unnecessarily provoke his anger if we make contact."
-Wardanaz?-
"!"
Falcrius tensed up.
Ikurusha, who he thought was about to leave, stopped his steps and showed interest.
"Is there a problem, Mr. Ikurusha?"
-I thought I heard Wardanaz.-
"He's the junior who got lost."
-Is that true?!-
Ikurusha was surprised.
And the Kitchen Club members were surprised too.
'Why is he acting like that?'
'I'm not sure...'
"Yes. May we go look for him now?"
-No. Wait a moment.-
"..."
Falcrius started considering whether he should subdue the giant before him.
The atmosphere was turning ominous.
Buuuuuu-
Ikurusha blew the horn hanging from his neck for a long time.
Then from far away, with a sound that shook heaven and earth, giants came rushing over bringing mountain-destroying goats.
"..."
"..."
The Kitchen Club members were on the verge of collapsing from fear and tension. Falcrius was bewildered, not understanding the situation.
'Are the giants trying to hold a feast?'
-That human boy has disappeared.-
-Wardanaz! Wardanaz got lost in the mountains!!-
-We must rescue him quickly! He might starve to death!-
-That's not... No. Right. Let's search quickly in case he starves to death.-
At Ikurusha's words, tears welled up in the giants' eyes.
-Let's find him quickly!-
-You mage! Help us!-
"Pardon? Yes! Yes!!"
