I've heard finger snaps are powerful too. Let's experiment with that - see what happens when I snap my fingers and give you an instruction. I can even hack into your nervous system, snapping to make you shudder with pleasure. Or your muscles, making you stick your tongue out like a real mindless object. Make you drool all over yourself. Make your eyes roll and flutter. So fun.
I said we were here to study. I just didn't mention it would be me studying you. But I can't have you remember, so I'll put another story in your mind, creating a new memory -- one that will feel so true. We've just been talking about the brain; you remember me nerding out about neuroscience while you focused on what I was saying.
