Version 0.32 Released!
🕑 Added 2022-07-01 03:49:14 +0000 UTCAlright, the update is out! And I’ve patched in a fix to two of the alternate images for the new CG set added in, and added a proper background for that as well. Then I realized that while I’d written the scene for handing in the fourth dungeon quest, I didn’t actually add it, or write the scene for accepting the fifth dungeon, so that is added in patch 0.32.2.
Anyways, onto what was done for this update. There are now sprites for the walking model for all of the in-game clothing, though that was actually patched in for version 0.31, I think it’s worth mentioning here. The actual 0.32 update adds three new scenes to the fifth dungeon (one of which will be expanded upon later), adds a new date for a submissive Katie in Elmgar, and fleshes out the fifth dungeon more. The events that were in the game already were more properly fleshed out, with some adjustments to one of the enemies, which now has potential loot associated with it. I then ran out of time to properly implement the new content, so there’s still some placeholder stuff for now. It does now have linking charges, and will use them on defeat, or kick you out of the dungeon if you run out. Important note for people who’ve visited the fifth dungeon in an earlier version, you will have to go to the guild and properly hand in the fourth dungeon quest, and accept the fifth dungeon quest, before you can go back there.
The update also adds artwork for one of the scenes in the fifth dungeon, which is 6 total images with all the minor variations. I changed one of the evolved spells for fire into something I found more interesting, and adjusted some code for the spells to make them simpler to tweak, as I understand scripting with RPG Maker quite a bit more now. The total word count is a bit over 9000, but I also have over 4000 words of partially written content, so I might patch in another big scene into this update. It will depend on how much longer I make that scene though. As I mentioned in the download post, I thought the Katie date event was almost done at one point, and then proceeded to add an extra 1200 words to it, so if I do that again I’ll probably hold the event off til version 0.33. As always, thanks for your support. I’ll try and get the next update out a few days early so I’m not releasing things on the 30th, because that can make it awkward for people who pledge right at the end of the month.
