Upcoming Update
🕑 Added 2019-09-29 00:54:07 +0000 UTCEdit 2: I underestimated how long it would take to finish everything up. The main reason for this is because I used a to do list I had to judge how long everything would take, but I didn’t account for all the little things I forgot to put on the to do list. On the bright side, that probably means I'll be able to re-write the scene that just disappeared from the game. I have no idea what I did, but it got replaced with a blank page instead of the text I'd written. The other good news is that this update is currently over 37000 words, which is quite a bit more than I'd originally expected, so that's nice. I’m sorry to constantly give incorrect estimations of when it will be ready, but for whatever reason even when I think I’m being as conservative as possible I still end up being wrong. With that said, I still think it will be out tomorrow.
Edit: I got the flu shortly after posting this update, which is a shame because I'm fairly confident I actually gave a good estimate of when the update would come out for once, but being sick really slowed me down for a few days. All of the writing is done now, I just need to run through some passages to double check things and make sure the empowered magic is working fine. My new estimate of when the update will be out is either today, (which would technically be tomorrow because I'm always up super late), or tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.
Original Post: I wanted to provide an update on where I’m at with the upcoming update for version 0.7 of the game. I’ve finished a good majority of the content for it, so I plan to have it out at the start of next month. I didn’t pay much attention to how long it took, but I’m pretty sure Patreon takes a few days to process payments, so it will probably come out on the 3rd or 4th of October for everyone in the $5 and up tiers, which will give me a bit of extra time to make sure everything works properly.
The update will, at the very least, have the Beatrice vibrator date, the first section of the second dungeon, a Lamia enemy for the dungeon, and four other lewd events that occur in the dungeon that I don’t want to spoil. I’ve also added in empowered magic, which gives you six more powerful spells you can unlock through the skill tree that have limited uses which refresh when you sleep, (like d&d spell slots, basically). Adding those in took a while, in part because I ended up revamping a decent amount of the code to make further additions much easier, but I think it will make combat more exciting, especially boss fights. There also a bottom UI bar now that makes navigating dungeons a little easier, giving you directional buttons at the bottom of the screen you can use to quickly move around. It’s about 25000 words all together at the moment, but will probably be a bit bigger when it’s all done.
In addition, I’m hoping to squeeze in at least one more dungeon event and a second enemy into the dungeon. The Lamia is going to have lewd attacks in addition to the usual defeat scene, but I imagine a dungeon with only one enemy would be a bit boring, even if it will be expanded upon later, so I’ll try to add another enemy. If I do, it will probably have a shorter scene but might get more in the next update. Worst case scenario I could always add an enemy without a scene for now, because creating enemies doesn’t take much time to do, just to give the dungeon more variety.
I’m also trying out a new method of determining if the players depravity is high enough to get different text and options in certain scenes. Instead of trying to set a flat value that would indicate a high amount of depravity at a specific point in time in the game, it is now calculated based upon your characters level. So, for example, having 50 depravity as a level one character would put you at the maximum level of lewdness, but would put you at the second highest level as a level five character. The examine yourself part of the menu is updated to reflect this, so you will be able to check that to see how lewd you are.
That’s all for now, thanks again for supporting me, I hope you all enjoy the update when it is released.
