No yellow marker, there is only the burgandy/gold outline (second defender switch icon) marker which I believe is what you are talking about, which if you press the L1 Button, you will then switch to that player immediately
Just to confirm, when you are controlling your CDM, and there is a yellow marker on another player you are controlling, you double press L1 to activate that? Or you pressed R1?
