PLEASE NOTE: In some of the clips, you will see when I am defending and I execute a Standing Tackle, the controller appears to be pressing [A on XBOX] and [X on PS4]. This is however a VISUAL GLITCH, the actual combination I am pressing for a Standing Tackle is [B for XBOX] or [Circle for PS4]. This is ONLY for the situation where I am performing a standing tackle, the rest of the controls are same as yours (classic), so its just whenever you see me DEFENDING and you see me perform a Standing Tackle, I am actually pressing B/Circle instead of A/X.
FIFA School - Episode 8 - Stand Tackling
In Episode 8, we go over stand tackling and the different types of stand tackling and which I would advocate using for defending/covering space. We talk about the superiority of positioning again with the combination of running jockey with tackling being very effective.
We go over and compare all the stand tackling techniques which vary form hard tackling to normal tackling and also the movement attributes to each one such as running, walking/jogging and jockeying. I have some example clips showing situations where you may need to make use of space and run into a correct position first before tackling.

Remember, run and jockey when you are in-front of the ball defending the goal, when you are behind, get into the correct position first, then use the running jockey. This combined with last episode on positioning and specific altering your players position depending on your opponent (we will go over this more in future videos)
