Of course it had to happen now. You were almost out, and of course the walls had to close in on you.

While I know now everyone has claustrophobia, something about the thought of Bucky comforting the listener through a phobia induced panic attack wouldn't get out of my mind, and I felt like the claustrophobia allowed for some real good “they obviously want to be together but they think the other doesn’t want to be and now they're trapped in a small space together" vibes. Even though this audio is focused more on claustrophobia, I hope that it can maybe help others who might be suffering from a phobia induced panic attack. I hope that you all enjoy!

Bucky: I repeat, this is The Winter Soldier calling for an emergency evacuation. Hydra has installed previously unknown security technology in the bypass shaft that has blocked off access to the rendezvous point. I am trapped here with a fellow agent, and even through repeated efforts, we have been unable to breach the panels blocking our way. We have been enclosed in a tight space that have left the two of us unable to produce enough leverage to destroy the panels from our side. Please respond, Over.
(Steve over the Intercom): Roger that Buck, we're on our way. Over!
-pause-
Bucky:
-breathes a short sigh of relief-
Good, for a minute there I was worried that we were going to be able to get a message out either....
Provided they aren't interrupted by too many Hyrda agents, they should be here shortly.....
-pause-
Woah.....hey.....is everything alright.....?
-pause-
What? Woah....woah ok....slow down.....take a breath.....what's going on? What do you mean, 'you should have told someone?'
-pause-
Hey, hey! Can you look at me? Yeah, just look at me.....there's nothing else you have to worry about or do other than that, ok?
-pause-
Good, yes, good job.....you're having a panic attack, and you're going to hyperventilate if you keep breathing like that.....so if you can, take some deep slow breaths with me....try to exaggerate the motion that breathing make as much as you can....
-hushes softly-
It's ok.....you don't have to worry about that right now, just focus on breathing with me....that's your mission right now, ok?
Deep breath in now......-deep, slow intentional breath-
Yes, good, now let it out......-deep, intentional exhale-
Perfect, just like that......

Hey---hushes softly---just because you're experiencing some claustrophobia doesn't mean that the mission is blown, ok? Steve, Sam and Natasha are on their way, and once they get the panels open, we'll be scot free.....
You're not letting anyone down.....you're not letting them down....you're not letting me down....you're not jeopardizing [anything], alright?

Well, I'm fairly certain that's why they call them irrational fears.....
It doesn't have to make rational sense for it to affect you.....

Believe it or not....it's an old trick I used to do with Steve when he was having asthma attacks. Something about 'em just.....made him feel like the walls were closing in on him and he was trapped.....
This helped get his attention away from that.....

I mean from context clues I can kind of piece it together......

Trust me, I didn't feel obligated just because I happened to be around when your claustrophobia reared it's ugly head.....
Like I said.....everyone has things that they're afraid of.....rational or not.....doesn't make it any less real.....

Hey, you're not a coward.....trust me.....I've known quite a few spineless cowards in my time, and you are far from that.....

The fact that you went on this mission, and I'm assuming countless other missions where you've had to navigate those fears? That's some real bravery......
