Greenhouse Devlog 10/8/25 - Art grind nears conclusion (NSFW)

Part of me wishes I could've finished Greenhouse this month to add to the dark and creepy atmosphere.. ah well.
All signs point to this being my last month dedicated to the artwork for Greenhouse! Yeeeeeeey!

That only took.. well, a long time. Things are never as simple as I think they're gonna be. π΅βπ«
Lets look at some numbers!
By my count, I will soon have completed a total of 447 Illustrations for chapter 3! πΌοΈ
That's 447 drawings - sketched, lined, colored and shaded. :o
But wait there's more! This doesn't even include different versions or progressions of existing arts. Some arts have several progressions, similar to a short animation. Others have multiple versions depending on player decisions.
Lets compare that to chapters 1 and 2..
In chapter 1 there were about 80 arts. π
In chapter 2 there are ~155 arts. π
Combined that's ~235 arts. π
This means that chapter 3 has nearly double the amount of art from the rest of the game combined! :o
To give an idea of how close I am to finishing the art, here is my art folder for chapter 3 (Yes my naming system is kind of insane).
The green is fully complete stuff and red is unfinished, mostly uncolored lines. Soo closeee.. :o
It's been a lot of fun wiggling my pencil around a screen for months and months and I've learned a lot but at the same time I'm glad I'm almost done..π
I'm just about ready to switch over to my next large task.. I've gotta finish writing! π±

well then! almost done with this enormous undertakind! I, personally, wouldn't have been able to do it, at least not without switching between tasks, I would have burned out myself, still, that's the hardest part done! keep up the good work!
