Greenhouse Devlog 4/9/24 - The Beast in the Dark

For the last few weeks I've decided to take a break from writing and planning to work on a rather elaborate new section of the game that I'd recently got the idea for.
Since I started greenhouse, I've always wanted it to have more of a horror undertone but for some reason I can't seem to consistently achieve that feeling.. So for this section of the game I'm leaning into it. My goal is to make this part very horror-y and atmospheric.
It's a minigame of sorts, with the same goal as other escape minigames - to escape, but much more interesting.
The thing up there is concept art of who we're trying to escape from. It's a kind of lengthy anthro werewolfish being that I've been designing. It doesn't get many visitors these days. It's very lonely. And horny.. And thirsty.
It is taking a bit longer than I thought because it's a medium that I don't have a lot of experience with. I don't want to get too much into it because I want it to be a surprise but I think it's a nice change of pace.

I did end up making the arms quite long, but making the neck longer makes sense! Thanks! :>

okay, it's a really good idea, and a bit of horror mixed with horny is always interesting for me, still a couple of suggestions if you want to hear them? stretch the neck a bit more, and make the arms a bit longer, it's going to give more of that "uncanny valley" effect that could really help with what you are trying to do, still, keep up the good work!

Omg that's sick! I love the concept art~ the idea sounds great. But i do have a suggestion if you want to make the gamr a bit more "horror-ey". I have a very close friend that makes music, and a very tense suspenseful and quiet background tune would go great with the game. Reserve the silence with only ambience to very tense moments, but is just a suggestion of course, the game already is quite eery
