Seraphine's Zaun Tour
🕑 Added 2024-08-19 23:25:49 +0000 UTCIt's tough to be an idol in Piltover.
Getting chased by fans and being recognized by everybody when walking in the streets. Seraphine just wanted to be left alone sometimes and be her true self for at least a few hours.
The producers told her to keep a clean image. "You should be nice to your fans!", "You shouldn't curse!", "You shouldn't deny autographs or photos!", "Tell you love them!"... Ugh.
Honestly? She was pissed about all the rules and manners she had to endure to climb that elusive "success ladder" to get the biggest audience reach. Everything was so generic that she needed to do something about it before she snapped.
That's why she took some plain clothes and sneaked into the underground bars of Zaun.
She heard before about that place - almost everything wasn't good. But she knew Zaun had it's own bands and artists whom ended up having a very limited reach, but a surprisingly loyal fanbase. She wanted to hear and feel by herself what's their deal. At least she could justify that little escapade with her doing some "reserach" to understand what zaunites enjoy most.
It was crude, agressive and honest noise.
It banged over her head. The taverns Seraphine visited were crowded with people all energically dancing at the rhytm of the zaunite pop, she could feel waves of electricity coming on each note, all hearts pulsating at the beat of the musicians.
To say she was enfatuated was an understantment.
She started to come to the raves more and more. Zaun rapidly became the place she yearns the most, taking all the new experiences, new drinks and new people she wouldnt know to begin with if she didn't decide to sneak that night a long ago.
Soon enough, she mingled with the artists, doing shows and collabing with them in her free time. Those endevours weren't know by her producers, but the Zaunites were so insulated from Piltover that nobody even was aware the Songtress was doing shows in underground taverns. Plus, it should sound absurd hearing the "nice Seraphine" was walking with such a crowd.
Well, they might not be wrong about that either. For sure the private "after parties" she went after some nights would become a scandal if the piltovan press learned about that. Not that they didn't have enough material already with the last vapid scandals they manufactured about her everyday.
How about the time she slept with three men at the same time? (Easy task handle three guys when you manage a double life like that). All fans, of course. They did it in the "backstage", which means it was in one of the alleys behind the tavern she performed. It's surprising how nobody catch them... Privacy might be one of the props for a sketchy alley.
Or when she sucked off a chemtech baron just for him being one of her biggest fans? (That would be a great headline!)
Even if Zaun has such thick air smelling fumes and chemicals, sometimes it was easier to breath than in any Piltover stage she ever performed.
That was her little secret.

This one was on hold for a while until now, as I managed to finish it!
Side commentary about the story: It's been a while since I checked last Seraphine's lore and I'm aware it's ever changing since the Skarner controversy.
I wanted to fit something about "JusticeForBrackerns" but couldn't find it. Instead, I chose to make a fanfic with my own take about Seraphine: someone who's a bit ressented about the music industry and how she's pressured to appeal wider audiences having to manufacture a persona of "nice girl".
What irks me about her lore the most is the "I want to sing for you! Let's hold hands, Piltovians and Zaunites!" while both cities are about to blow each other up. No wonder why Renata and Zeri dunk on her in some quotes.
Don't get me wrong, I love Seraphine. I prefer my headcanon version of her, but I love her.
Well, I hope you guys enjoy the short story and the extra variations! I did for fun an album cover of her performing "adult activities" with a hotdog restaurant I found, but that was more for the laughs (did you imagine Seraphine going for an "edgy phase" on her career? LMAO)
