I love that she is the big sister seeing the world through her little brother’s eyes.
Caitlin Pollastro
Yay Northern Lights!
PyroZim
OK. You needs a pen out of Jackie looking up here. That face is amazing.

Plot Twist: The world is ending, and Jacko was the only one told about it via a magic spirit he met while living as a stray.
Hal 🔆
it's been cloudy every time it reached my area this year. the eclipse, the meteor showers, there was some aurora happening here (IN TEXAS) a few months ago — all cloudy.
Michael Vornehm
Oddly enough, that's why Bluey has the color palette that it does, they only use colors dogs can see.
Grace 'Gengar' Soria
Awww Jacko, I just want to hug him and make sure he knows his world will be fine.
Willow
thats actually a disproven myth, they dont quite see the color range we do but can see things that are blue and yellow and mixtures of that, same with cats. we Humans have additional red receptors which gives us a allot wider color range
Josh
I think they’re only partially colorblind.
Fyre
Maybe it still looks beautiful even when colorblind.
Kitsune88
For some reason in the first panel I can’t unsee Jacko’s chest fluff looking like he’s holding hands together 🤣. Adds to the whole feel so I’m not fussed.
Hannah Wine
Love the strip. 💙 but aren't dogs color blind? 🤔
Pamela Hineman (Lexy Wolfe)
I am sad because just about every time there is an event in the sky (meteor showers, auroras, etc,) it is either overcast or I'm so danged tired I never wake up to see them. Add to that I live in town and the light polution doesn't help, either. Cool for Jacko and Pixie to see it. Glad Jacko is learning it's not the end of the world so it'll be cool for him in the future.
Cami
It's so funny in a dark way how Jacko saw what he thought was the end of all things and all he could do was watch in a mix of awe and fear
Isaiah Baylor
Did you know that the southern lights are called aurora australis, not aurora borealis?
Joshua
Even in northern Michigan you could just sort of see a tint to the sky for most of the event during the perseids in early August, even in a very dark place. Looking through your phone they were bright and lovely. Long exposures made them brighter, but lost some of the movement you could see in real time. But our cameras see them because our eyes basically turn off the color (cones) when theres limited light, to amp up the rods and see shapes and movement. Cameras didn’t evolve to avoid getting eaten in darkness so they handle color in dark better than we can, and can amp up the brightness when pointed at darker spots even without long exposures. Our friends in the comic can’t really see red or green (cats to some extent), and auroras are mostly green and red, so pixie would see a bit of muted red and green at the most intense points, but otherwise they’d both be seeing a much fainter show, yellows and greys and some white. But still cool to them, I’m sure :)

We got them north of Toronto this year. Twice!!!
Bruce Johnson
Unfortunately they weren't really 'seen' down here in Tucson as ''showed up in long exposure pictures' unless you got a long way out of the city where it was dark skies....which we were unable to do that night :-(
George Marionerd
They appeared a few times in England recently, but sadly I was unaware and in bed each time they occurred 😞
Birgir Óli Konrádsson
Common in Iceland and quite beautiful ❤️
rae of sunshine
we get the northern lights fairly often up in canada. my dad likes to drive us out of the city to avoid light pollution. they're always just as beautiful as the first time 🌌
Jamoin181
I don't live in america and this kinda stuff didn't become international news, so thanks for the info!
Fairytale93
Recently they have reached as far down as Tuscan Arizona. So a lot of places lol
Rebecca Rivera
This past fall the northern lights went crazy! You could see them down in Florida! (My friend took pictures from key west)
Adam
Localized entirely within your kitchen?
Jamoin181
Where do they live to see northern lights, like huh
Jig
Jacko in panel two is absolutely adorable. I've never seen the northern lights in person but hopefully one day I'll get the chance.
Lenzalot
Technically we are one stray solar magnetic storm away from the end of the world

Jacko, you and Pixie are the best duo ever, and with Gerald you three would be Outstanding❤️❤️❤️
Toby Leong
Haha for a minute there I thought Jacko was doing the "Puss In Boots" eyes LOL. Very cute! 🥰 Saw the northern lights in Alaska a few years ago, it's Nature's laser and fireworks show all in one. It's AWESOME! 😎

I wanna see it too 😞

not that much of a chance in the middle of europe sadly. And I tend to completely miss them if they do happen.
Ben Hed
Very worth it if you ever get the chance
Daph
That's so cute ❤️

Feeling with jacko. I have also yet to see them
LadyArachne0529
I would feel the same way if I ever saw it in person! 😍
Stephanie Louise Elaine Heinz
Sweet little Jacko
Seres
I haven't seen the northern lights either yet 😭
Mike Soberdude
I can't blame Jacko for that question. Seeing something like that sometimes makes you wonder
Carly K
If this is how the world ended, in peace, quiet, and color, I'd be fine with that.
Christian Fisher
Poor Jacko
