Not-So-Monthly Report ~ Lost in Time
🕑 Added 2024-10-24 14:24:16 +0000 UTCHeya, April here!
It's the end of October already?! Time flies too fast!
Every time i try to come up with such long posts - i find myself being completely empty headed, staring into the void with zero thoughts in mind...but!
Let's discuss some stuff. As always, lots of rambling and bad english ahead, so please, bear with me!
We'll start with more important stuff first:
Super Late Contest Announcement:
Hey, it's that contest again!
Contest is actually started two weeks ago in our Discord server, and i completely forgot to make an announcement here on Patreon, i'm terribly sorry...
If you still want to submit your entry (or to be a jury) - please, let me know, we still can extend the contest by one week!
You will find all of the Contest Info on the pic down below:
Known issues with Character Releases:
Something that i've figured myself, nobody else reported it, so, hopefully, not many people actually have this issue.
Whole issue appears once you update free 1.0 NextGen Eye shaders with paid 2.0 version. What happens is: 2.0 version works really bad with DeepDive eyes that i've been always using, it completely ruins colors, and "thanks" to some of the manually changed sliders - you get awful results that you can see on the right side of pic down below. Unfortunately, it's not something that can be fixed with one or two sliders, and to make it work with 2.0 you basically have to recreate eyes from scratch. Since for now it's not very common issue - i'll leave it as it is, but if needed - i guess i could make separate eyes for 3.X-4.X characters exclusively. I'm still scared of the day when 4.X skin shaders will be fully released...
Later i'll make bunch of polls to figure out once again what shaders people use the most nowadays!
Upcoming Characters:
Small preview of the new upcoming character ~ Mercury! Card should be released by the end of this week!
Right variant have very simple commissioned and halloween inspired zombie overlay. I wasn't sure if i should even include it, but some people have said that they want it, so why not include it then?
I have nothing to say about the new scenes though, sorry...most of it is not finished yet, and some of it i can't show yet for...reasons!
Change of plans, frustration, being completely lost in time...
Ah, the boring part! Feel free to skip it.
Past few months (half of a year even) were really busy and mostly frustrating and discouraging, mostly because of real life stuff. Stuff also gets blocked here and there, yadda-yadda. All planned free time at country house went into it's repairs, because old stuff kept falling apart (but hey, i've somehow learned how to replace old rusty pipes, yay!), so all of my modding plans are unfortunately moving to winter season at this point.
Piano pic for fun! Something that i have in my room, so it's easy to have a reference right in front of you. It's full of horrible topology and mistakes (i really tried to model it as single piece, which is super wrong), so i'll have to remake it later to fix everything and make it more optimised and better looking!
Next thing were much more discouraging for me though. I've received some of the paid private commissions for the past few months, and as the result...i've never received payment for some of it. Eh, i'm the only one to blame here, but that's something that surely kicked me out of my chair and made me question everything for a month or two. But hey, i'm still here, as always, full of delays, fighting the odds and slowly working on new stuff, yay!
As always, thank you so much for your support and for staying with me no matter what, and thank you for simply being here, i wouldn't be here without you!
Thank you so much, for everything!
