You are right that Jessica's number has come up in the past. In episode 2 I believe, in one of the flashbacks with Harold and Nathan.

You're remembering correctly. Reese chatted up Peter in a bar in a previous flashback. Kara followed him and reminded him of no contact. That they are the dark.

It's easier to spot in rewatches... but Jessica's photo appeared, as an irrelevant person, on Finch's machine monitor in an early flashback with Nathan. In fact, Finch turns off the screen on her image... countering Nathan's concern about other people in danger. That the machine was only intended for dangers to national security. (Episode 1x02, Ghosts.)

I was so excited for this episode and the next two! I like that you can predict some of the procedural stuff but not so much where the overarching story is going to go. There is so much I can't wait for you to see but it's going to take so long!! Oh well, I'll just have to stick around. :)

I knew your facial blindness would mess with you this episode. I think the casting directors intentionally hired someone who looked like Peter for the US Marshall. First watch it messed with me too. The ending of this episode was such a great full circle moment, I remember getting goosebumps seeing Finch at the hospital, that he was the one John bumped into at the beginning. Can't wait for next week!
