I could be wrong, but my read of the scene with Bobby and the hybrid after they fell is that since Bobby's suit had run out of power, the hybrid was no longer interested. Hybrids run on instinct towards sources of power. Perhaps it sensed something else with more power than Bobby's depleted suit.

I think CIC is something like Command Information Centre - the bridge basically, nothing had spread to there because Nguyen had sealed it off during the mutiny

It was a Hybrid pod that hit the Agatha King but presumably as it was knocked off course it didn’t hit properly and presumably the Hybrid was killed but the protomolecule still spread
