Fun fact: this story has more words in it than John Steinbeck's acclaimed novella, Of Mice and Men. However, if you're going to read a story about the Great Depression, I'd like to note that mine has girls in it who kiss. So, y'know, do with that information as you will.
This story will be part of an itch.io bundle in another week or so, though I've yet to get the epub fully sorted out. Keep an eye out for that though--obviously you're already able to read my story here, but I gotta say... this year's bundle is gonna have some bangers in it. I'll post when it's available, and maybe call out a few of my faves (and I've not even read everything in full yet).

It's not fully together in my head yet, but I also have some cute stuff floating around about the characters in the epilogue of this particular story, that I might try to find a way to revisit at some point.

That's a really good question! I think... not really? Other than having some similar themes of found family and plants. I recall liking what I had of that story, but also not having a good idea of what to do after the chapters I wrote, which is part of why I fell off of writing more and haven't thought a lot about returning to it (esp. with other projects languishing that I have stronger ideas for). Mm.
