I have an opposite perspective of the landing scene. Kimari keeps her hand there just because they all respect Shirase and want her to take the step first. So for me that’s a hand of signal for “after you”. As we know about Kimari, she’s always the one who gives the warm hand to others, but this time, it’s Shirase’s growing moment . By holding Kimari’s hand then trying to say that “l’m not that self-centred girl anymore, you girls get my back to here, we have to take the first step together undoubtedly.” That’s always the teardrop scene for me every single time, just love to see the growth of our girl.

Someone like a cloud sounds like unrequited love, specially in the context of homosexuality. I think Gin always loved Takako since their High School days and she probably never confessed or tried because maybe Takako had a boyfriend. She probably got pregnant, never married and eventually Gin and Takako grew closer to the point of dating. Takako wanted Gin and Shirase to become closer because that's the family she wanted to have. Takako was a cloud before, always there, seemingly attainable but never within grasp. She is still a cloud now, but for different reasons.
