I can't believe it's the season 5 finale and somehow this show STILL manages to make me almost cry while connecting things character-wise and calling back to previous seasons - it's just SO good!
Natsume gets under the weather and the yokai around him show their growth and care for our sweet angel bean! This season was one of my FAVORITES and I can't wait to see what's in store for Natsume!

Thank you for the comment and kind words! It’s been a wonderful season and one of my favorites! And yessss, Ta-nu-ma! He’s so great! I agree; I love how much this show has given us the yokai “falling” for Natsume and for good reason! That’s such a good point about Reiko going along with the yokai mentality it almost seems! Soooo intriguing and thank you; I love this episode and its fleeting whimsy…now…onto OVA’s before Season 6! ^^ I can’t wait!

Loved the reaction and discussion! What a wonderful season finale. 🥰 Of course: Ta-nu-ma! Ta-nu-ma! 😆 Love this sweetest bean’s protective streak. But what I love most of all in this episode is the emphasis on yokai looking after Natsume. The Chukyus grumbling the whole way through so much effort to help him, worrying about him, etc. Excellent discussion around this - we’ve seen so many stories of yokai speaking to how fleeting human lifespans are (even yokai being advised by other yokai that they should stay away from humans specifically for this reason). And yet we see so many so fond of Natsume. To these yokai Natsume is a beautiful flower – important to take notice of no matter how fleeting. 🥰 And Reiko being the one who takes the approach closer to what yokai have spoken of: 'if you are alone, you won’t need to protect anyone.' My heart! 😭 Looking forward to next week! 💙
